(YouTube) Amusing From MST3K season four, it's Attack of the Eye Creatures, in which a group of teenagers try to thwart inept aliens. Joel, Servo, and Crow make this awful remake enjoyable. "Come out with your eyes up"   (youtube.com) divider line 28

Phew, late green. I was afraid we'd somehow run out of episodes and run into the Fark bureaucratic conundrum of "no repeats."

Like that's ever been a problem before.

Off the top of my head:

1. Manos
2. Space Mutiny (Slab Bulkhead!)
3. Maybe Operation Double 007 ("Joel, am I tripping?") or Fugitive Alien ("He Tried to Kill Me with a Forklift!")

Space Mutiny (Put on your helmet! We'll be reaching speeds of three!)
Final Justice (Don't worry, his heart will go-ahead on.)
Time Chasers (Hi, I'm Bob Evil)

Now, those are three great episodes. I'm not going to get into a debate over whether or not they're the three best. It's too hard to rank.

Space Mutiny isn't on Netflix streaming though.

I find that if the movie is a watchable and fun B-movie to start with, it's a lot less painful to watch while the Riffers riff it.

Gorgo
The Mole Men
Teenagers from Outer Space
The Deadly Mantis
The Brain that Wouldn't Die
It Challenged the World
The Crawling Hand
The Giant Gila Monster
The Killer Shrews
Eegah
The Revenge of the Creature
It Conquered the World
The Lost Continent

are funny even without the Crew. They are classic B-movies with corny acting, plots, monsters, etc., but everybody is serious and reasonably professional. Look for John Agar, Peter Graves, John Carradine, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, etc. Eegah has Archibald Hall Jr. who is a sort of Poor Man's Elvis Presley. I call him the Val Kilmer of the XXth Century.

If you don't like the SF and Horror genres (WTF are you watching MST3K for?) then there are also some good riffs of other genres such as the spy movie, the disaster movie, and the exploitation movies of the 1950s and 1960s.

I've used this list to search for episodes on YouTube, etc.:

http://mst3k.wikia.com/wiki/Episode_List

I wish they could have been unleashed on some of the better movies which the TV show budget wouldn't cover. These would be really enjoyable to watch with riffing. They do riff some fairly good movies on RiffTrax.com, where you buy the movie and the riff separately in most cases. Again, it helps to enjoy the parody if you have often enjoyed the movie first or have mocked it yourself because it's so stupid or silly.

Space Mutiny (Sir? - 'I just think it's very nice of you to give that dead woman another chance!')
Hobgoblins ('Yeah... "Club Scum." So why are there lunch ladies serving tater tots back there?!?')
Overdrawn at the Memory Bank ("I've seemed to have died, is that ok?!")

Honestly there can be never really a Top 3, too many of them are that good.

Mitchell!

I've always had a soft spot for Puma-Man. I'm sorry, PYOOMA-Man.

Overdrawn at the Memory Bank
Space Mutiny
Final Justice

Honorable Mention:

Mitchell (Joel's last ep)
Jack Frost
Puma Man (PYOOMA MAN!)
Death Stalker and the Warriors from Hell

It's all subjective, but...

Mike: Space Mutiny; Final Sacrifice; Werewolf; Overdrawn at the Memory Bank
Joel: Killer Shrews; Tormented; Godzilla VS Megalon; Pod People

My top 3?

Space Mutiny
Devil Doll
Final Sacrifice

Honorable Mention:

The Blood Waters of Dr. Z
Manos, the Hands of Fate
Gamera vs. Zigra

2011-11-06 04:25:43 PM
I'm also going to throw out a controversial choice: Agent for HARM. It's a boring movie, the riffing isn't the absolute greatest ever- with one exception.

"Taking his niece to lunch." BWA-BWA-BWAP-BWAAAA (james bond theme).

My faves:

Manos, the Hands of Fate
Cave Dwellers
Mitchell (even his name says, "Is that a beer?")

Psychlone: (even his name says, "Is that a beer?")

I love coming home with my gun out, scares the hell out of my cat!
