What is this crap? I was told that lower classes had to pay higher taxes if everyone (including the upper classes) wanted to benefit. How dare a county force one of the 1% to give up part of their hard-earned bootstrappy money to play Santa rather than just sticking the poor people with the bill. And on Long Island no less! If the 1% can't thrive there of all places, then America as we know it is dead and has finally turned socialist.

This. I don't care how many religions are included in "holiday" stuff, it's still a waste of county funds. If you want to decorate, decorate you own damned house. If you want Santa to be at your tourist trap, pay for it yourself or take up a collection.
