I like Chris Thile, but he's really channeling his inner John Mayer in that song. That's not really a good thing.

Does anyone else hear autotune installed in those mics?

I mean, I wouldn't think they would...but I'm hearing it.....maybe because they're old and the vocal chords are past their prime they just said "fark it?"

Bring the girl over to your place

Put on some Garfunkel

They see the softer romantic side of you

Then you FARK the sh*t out of them

Worked every time.

I hear it too. I have no idea why the sound engineers thought that was a good idea.
They should have turned it off as soon as they heard it was obvious. Better to have a folk singer slightly out of tune then obviously auto-tuned IMHO.

RIP Nately!

1st Lt. Milo Minderbinder: Nately died a wealthy man, Yossarian. He had over sixty shares in the syndicate.

Yossarian: What difference does that make? He's dead.

1st Lt. Milo Minderbinder: Then his family will get it.

Yossarian: He didn't have time to have a family.

1st Lt. Milo Minderbinder: Then his parents will get it.

Yossarian: They don't need it, they're rich.

1st Lt. Milo Minderbinder: Then they'll understand.

and watching it from the duet, I'd have to say - yes. Awkward

I love playing The Sun is Burning for friends just to fark with them. Just love their reactions goes from being a very sweet song to a very dark one at the end, something that they really aren't expecting in a Simon and Garfunkel song.

I dunno.

S&G songs have always struck as music for upper-middle class white people who think they are listening to 'deep' and 'profound' lyrics or that owning 'Graceland' and 'Rhythm of the Saints' meant that they liked 'world music'.

Very pretty voices, at times great music and some nice lines.

Mark Steyn at 'Steyn on line' has an interesting rememberance of interviewing Simon for the BBC.

This (new window) is the song I think of when I hear Art Garfunkel mentioned. Short and oh so sweet.

Beautiful voice. Happy Birthday, Art.
