If this had happened on I-95 in Miami, the boat would have been stolen in less than five minutes... By guys driving a stolen vehicle pulling a stolen boat trailer.

Look, I'm sure Michael and Fi will find a good use for it.

Someone is going to miss the regatta.

I hate when that happens...

Meh the boat can be replaced, the poor schmuck that fell overboard and drowned when the boat capsized deserves to be remembered.

/Disclaimer: this sounds funny to me now, however the humor might evaporate as the morning progresses and I sober up
//Time for more water and a couple more aspirin, just in case

Happens way too often. They need to improve boat safety

/Sit right down to hear a tale
//Tale of a fateful trip
///And yeah, was only supposed to be a 3 hour tour...

I would have helped but I can't swim.

Nah, follow your bliss and keep drinking. I laughed at that as soon as I read it.

Or over an active volcano. That would be bad, too.

Just curious, but was George Clooney captain of that boat?

Highways need a sign:

Your Bladder Must Be This Big to Ride This Road.

Does anybody know the song the following came from?

Sign says clearance to the twelve-foot line, but the chickens was stacked to thirteen-nine. Well we shot that tunnel at a hundred-and-ten, like gas through a funnel and eggs through a hen, and we took that top row of chickens off slicker than scum off a Lousiana swamp. Went down and around and around and down 'til we run outta ground at the edge of town. Bashed into the side of the feed store... in downtown Pagosa Springs.

Franko: White people problems.

Unless you happened to be Eastbound on the 95 yesterday, in which case you would have been delayed by about 4 farking hours.

/was ready to rip my own eyes out sitting in that traffic.

Is there ever a *good* place to capsize?

2011-11-05 10:29:06 AM
7-5/8.

If there's a bad place for your boat to capsize, it's I-95 in CT.

FTFY

I-95 through CT must have been built over a really long and narrow Indian graveyard. It has to be one of the most disaster-prone stretches of road in the U.S.

Stratford tool booth accident.
Mianus Bridge collapse.
Fuel truck fire in Bridgeport (nearly melted the I-95 bridge).

And, of course, New York commuters every day.

Edward Androkiewicz, 25, of Plainville, was driving a Dodge that was pulling the trailer.

Someone just learned how not to pull a trailer.

/slow down

They closed the freakin' overpass bridge in the photo, too. Took me 45 minutes to get around that because of all the traffic unloading onto surface roads. It should take about 30 seconds.

They should let everyone who was working submit invoices to this guy's insurance, that would learn him.

I'd rather be in the boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

2011-11-05 03:36:16 PM
Looks to me like the boat was trying to deliver the bridge and just ran out of gas.

2011-11-05 06:33:05 PM
Methinks that was an expensive fark up.

Considering I'll be driving in I-95 from FL up through northern New England, and thus will be on that specific stretch ... I'm NOT getting a kick. At all.

*shudders*
