In two years, he'll be as old as Pat Morita was when they made the movie.

One thing I learned from the Karate Kid Part 2 is that Japanese people don't speak Japanese. They speak broken English.

Yeah, that movie came out when I was a little kid. Did anybody think it came out yesterday or something?

No, but it's like, it was only a while ago, not a long time ago like disco and grease and the fonz. It shouldn't have been that long ago.

When I was a kid life expectancy was hitting 70. What is it now? 75? 80?

I wonder what they'll say it is when people my age are 75.

Nope, that award goes to Hannah Montana's brother. He was 29 when that show began.

I think that honor belongs to Stockard Channing -- played teenage Betty Rizzo in Grease at age 34.

Quarter life crises... I don't believe they exist.

I swear to god that better not happen to me. My metabolism is like this. I weighed 186 on Monday and weigh 171 right now. And most of that loss was today from my horribly cold and rainy ride to work and trying to get my body core temp back up all day at work.

the first half an hour was rainy and in the 40's. I was terribly cold all day at work and it felt like my body was screaming through calories trying to warm up. I took a hot shower after I got in, drank tea and coffee all day, spent all day in the war-room wearing a fleece and my skull cap, and even my cold weather gloves part of the day, simply couldn't warm up.

I saw it in the theater.

I also saw the original Star Wars in the theater, during its initial run

Now, let's discuss my lawn, and your immediate evacuation from it.

There's like a book and stuff. But yeah, I didn't read it when my mom sent it to me. It's probably still around here somewhere.

The original Star Wars was the last movie my father took me to before he died.

wow.
The first movie I saw was "All dogs go to heaven" because the little Mermaid was sold out (that was my second). I think Ghostbusters 2 was the next one, or Honey I shrunk the kids.

Long time ago...in a galaxy far far away.

Parents die, it is a rule of life. He would have loved seeing the rest of the Trilogy, and did not live to see Jar Jar Binks. Lucky man, in that respect.

Shostie: One thing I learned from the Karate Kid Part 2 is that Japanese people don't speak Japanese. They speak broken English.

I re-watched Karate Kid Part II a few weeks ago, and that sure stuck out like a sore thumb. I still love KK2, I think it was a worthy sequel as it raised the stakes since KK1, gave us more of Mr. Miyagi's backstory, and I liked the leading lady more in the sequel. :) As far as I'm concerned, KK3 doesn't even exist.

I was surprised to see Clarence Gilyard (Matlock, Walker: Texas Ranger) and B.D. Wong (Law and Order: SVU) in KK2. They aren't huge blockbuster actors, but how serendipitous!

Jennie Garth is unaffected by stardom and is still insanely good looking and has a beautiful family. She has managed to move ahead and not be ruined by success. Check her out, she did it right.

Yes, she was adorable as a young adult. I think I would have melted from her 100 megawatt smile, if I was sitting across the table from her.

The first movie I saw was Return of the Jedi. I was three, and at the time it was the most exciting thing ever. Unlike most small children who saw Jedi when it first came out, however, I was not particularly enamored by the Ewoks. I loved Han Solo and Darth Vader.
