He has to be trolling. This is the greatest book marketing campaign I've ever seen.

The Onion is prophetic: He has to be trolling. This is the greatest book marketing campaign I've ever seen.

I was just thinking that I sort of want to buy his book. The Koch brothers probably paid for the single greatest ghost writer in the history of mankind.

Anymore?

I think everyone is jumping on the vacancy left by Newt:

1. Write a book every four years
2. Threaten to run for President
3. Sell oodles of said book because you are promoting it (on others dimes or the networks) and the book contains clues to your policy positions
4. Drop out of the race when the going gets tough and become a talkshow host, pundit etc.

I think Newt finally realized he'd have to actually run this time to keep the gravy train running, but damn if people like Palin and Cain don't see this as a valid way to make a good living.

2011-11-04 04:39:34 PM
The crowd went nuts

Went? I'm pretty sure Cain's audience has moved in, set up fortifications and started making a fresh batch of Kool-Aid in "nuts".

2011-11-04 04:40:53 PM
So the Koch brothers are bankrolling this crazy train, and have been since the beginning?

I gotta hand it to them all - the Koch brothers, Mark Block, and Cain.

EPIC troll, guys. Congrats.

What's awesome is how disappointed the GOP will be when they find out he didn't come up with this saying on his own, lol..

2011-11-04 04:58:22 PM
I think it's hilarious that a black man is taking the GOP for all they're worth.

2011-11-04 05:02:37 PM
This guy is doing some sort of social experiment to see just how much batshiat crazy the people of this country will accept before they have their "wait -- what?" moment and stop supporting him. He has to be. It has to be more than just trolling, or a way to sell a book -- he's writing a book about how stupid people are.

The Onion is prophetic: He has to be trolling. This is the greatest book marketing campaign I've ever seen.

On a recent visit to Mississippi, the owner of the B&B where we stayed started talking politics (he just assumed we were Republicans, so I went with it). He asked me what I thought of Cain and my exact words were, "I think he's going to sell a lot of books."

The guy didn't seem to think it was that funny, but I bet he's starting to see the light.

2011-11-04 05:08:38 PM
I first suspected he was trolling when he said "I don't know who is the President of U - becki - becki - becki - stan!"

2011-11-04 05:10:58 PM
The hilarious thing is that Cain probably really thinks he's an economic peer of the Kochs, instead of some small-time pizza chain CEO. The man is worth at most $6.6 million. The Kochs are worth $50 billion. Herman Cain is rich by all standards, but he's worth 0.02% of a single Koch brother.

2011-11-04 05:22:07 PM
The Cain campaign is the result of a bet between the Koch brothers.

TV News shows should do teasers with "Herman Cain's campaign explains their Koch-Cain connections, after the break.", just to screw with old people.

As Chris Rock used to say
"I'm not talking about rich, I'm talking about WEALTHY. Oprah is rich, Bill Gates is WEALTHY. If Bill Gates woke up one morning and all he had left was Oprah's money, he'd jump out a window"

You know, thinking about it, there really MAY be something up here, Between Michael Steele (has anyone ever seen him and Humpty-hump in the same room together?) and now Herman Cain, I'm begining to think the entire GOP is being taken for a ride by the black equivalent of The Yes Men

I could believe that.

Or, it could be a ploy by the GOP to make Romney look sane.

Please Republican party, do not nominate this man. Don't make me vote Obama.

2011-11-04 06:18:22 PM
You know, I'm not sure who really should be worried by the association: Cain or the Koch brothers. Seriously, if Cain is the best they can do, they aren't that damn powerful.

muck4doo: Please Republican party, do not nominate this man. Don't make me vote Obama.

That's exactly what they are doing. There is no reason why the moneyed interests want Obama removed. He's doing everything they want already.

At least he's owning up to it. Most of the Koch-suckers don't like to whip it out in public, but not Cain.

2011-11-04 06:59:27 PM
"The article tried to make a case of close the Koch brothers and I are," Cain said. "I'm proud to know the Koch brothers - I'm very proud to know the Koch brothers."

ooook. well, if anyone still had any doubts that you would sell out your own mother for a fast buck, that just put it to bed. thanks Herman!

Weaver95: ooook. well, if anyone still had any doubts that you would sell out your own mother for a fast buck, that just put it to bed. thanks Herman!

That's racist! Any criticism of Herman Cain is a high tech lynching! You just can't stand to see a successful black man who dares to think for himself.

Youtube Link (new window)

/After all the years of the Republican's whining about the use of the "race card" by the left, its amazing how quickly they are to whip it out the first chance they get. They can't even wait until something comes up that might actually have some racist overtones to it before whipping it out.

Why would you ever give those two morally bankrupt f*cktards the Koch brothers any kinds of props?

Especially if you were a person of color.

Yeah, I went there...

yeah subby, he isn't trying to appeal to the left who wouldn't vote for him anyway.

That didn't answer my question. The man is hanging(no racist pun intended) himself with his stupid ideas. Don't sink to his level.
