Now I don't feel near so bad about my footstool.

I freaking love stories about crippled animals saved by science. I have a dog with 3.5 legs (well, he has all four but one is all busted and he doesn't use it except for balance) and I'm glad vets were able to save him.

/he doesn't limp at all unless you yell at him for some reason, and then he limps REALLY BAD

One of my dogs just had a leg amputated. Before he had the surgery, one of my other dogs affected what I am pretty sure was a "sympathy limp".

Nice change from the crippled elephant stories that are usually in the news.

Seriously, good on the rescuers.

I wish the li'l guy the best; I just have a hard time believing that he'll continue to get the attentive care he's going to need for the rest of his life. I have little faith this story will end well, even if things are lovely so far.
