Are Godzilla's whereabouts currently known?

Was it the mayor with the tank again?

Godzilla is in Japan, jumping up and down, causing occasional earthquakes.

I figure maybe one of the little Cloverfield spider things grew up.

Somebody hates these cars!

2011-11-04 02:15:20 PM
How many cars? Looks like maybe 4-5 tops. It also looks like they were dropped off there, not hit there.

2011-11-04 02:20:52 PM
It happened at the 1000th block of Euclid Street, NW. "It" in this case is the whole block of cars damage, some of them beyond recognition, by a force of what could be described as "very powerful."

Not only is the culprit alien, it's non-Euclidean.

That's what I was thinking too. There is very little road debris around the cars that were smashed. I see glass, but no metal/plastic.

WTF happened there? I'm going to go with the aliens theory until somebody figures out a better explanation, like explosive swamp gas or something.

There's a "construction ahead" sign visible in one of the pics, so my theory is: DUI in a pay-loader.

Or the cars were dropped there for the filming of a movie.

Not really. Customers abandon totaled vehicles at a body shop after insurance pays off. Body shop strips the VINs off the cars and dumps them in a residential neighborhood rather than paying to have them crushed.

Either that or my ex got her license back.

Although now that I look at the pics more closely, it looks like at least one or two of them still have their license plates on. So either those are phony plates or the body shop owners are kind of stupid.

I could see them doing that with one car, but why so many on one street?

Only thing I can figure is somebody driving something very large just plowed through them. That or ancient aliens.

The body shop near where I used to work in Cambridge would park wrecks on the street. Out of state plates in a resident only zone stood there for months where they would normally get tickets in hours or days. We figured the cops got something for looking the other way.

It's not actually a mystery, just poor journalism.

Journalism at it's finest, didn't bother asking the police? This picture doesn't feature the big SUV (PA plates, stolen?) that was sitting on top of the back crushed car in the photo at 3AM. He came down Euclid, scraped/peeled a few cars on the south side, then bounced across to the north, rolled over the 1st crushed car, went airborne, and landed, reversed, on top of the back crushed car. At least 4 cars totalled, a couple more seriously damaged, and a few more with minor injuries. Driver immediately ran off, the female passenger was telling police she didn't know who he was, police were all over the place - hope they catch the guy.

Let them sit on the shop's lot until it's full and you need the space. Clear them all out at once.

Only thing I can figure is somebody driving something very large just plowed through them.

They don't look like they were hit where they were found though. Take a look at picture 47 and 49. There are a few pieces of shattered safety glass, but no metal and no trace of the plastic turn signal and headlamp covers. Take a look at picture 52. The blue car looks like it was T-boned. The street isn't wide enough for a vehicle to get up enough speed to hit the blue car like that, and even if it was, the impact wouldn't cause that car to sideswipe the white car parked behind it.

Just the physics of car crashes make this look more like a dump site than a crash site.

(Besides, four or five crashes and nobody bothered to look out a window? Unlikely, IMO. Midnight stealthy dump and nobody notices? Yeah, I can see that.)

That or ancient aliens.

Well, yeah, everybody knows those little gray buggers can't parallel park.
What else could explain Roswell?

Why would they pay to have them crushed? Scrapyards buy whole vehicles and shred them into tiny bits.

I actually saw the aftermath of a tank rampage in the battalion motorpool when I was in... a tank would have done far more damage than that. Tanks cut through humvees and armored personnel carriers (113's) like swiss cheese.

This was more like Magneto or Jean Grey lost their cool for a moment.

My vote is that the aliens are just f*cking with us at this point.

This reminds me of the time a few years ago, I saw the strangest thing.
I woke up one morning and looked out my window to see a 1990s model Ford Van explode in a ball of flame.
The next morning, I looked out the window and saw another 1990s model Ford Van explode in a ball of flame.
The next morning, the same thing happened. Another 1990s model Ford van exploded in a ball of flame.
The next morning, I looked out my window and there was a 1990s model Ford Van frozen solid in a block of ice.

Just when I thought I had detected a pattern.

If that's true, then where did the SUV vanish to? I suspect that comment might not be entirely accurate. There are an awful lot of details for something that supposedly happened at 3 am. It just smells a bit fishy.
