In 2004, Gloria Cain voted in the March Democratic primary for president, and then the Republican primary in July when her husband was on the Georgia ballot for U.S. Senate

something about this doesn't seem right

This guy is entertaining - too bad he'll be gone so soon. Still no cure for no money.

Gloria Cain has voted in Democratic primaries and runoffs numerous times since 2000 - including the 2008 presidential primary that Barack Obama won with 66 percent of the vote, according to local voting records.

Umm, this really doesn't mean much. In Georgia, you can vote in any primary you wish, but only one or the other. I'll vote in the Republican primary this year because it matters for statewide office. Georgia isn't getting a Democratic senator any time soon.

I've already decided I'm voting for the Hermanator. I'm so racist, that I want to insure that a black man gets our nation's worst job.

I'm not racist. Some of my best friends are CEOs of pizza chains.

And when it comes to the actual vote you can switch sides. I heard of a lot of that in our gubernatorial race. Democrats were accused of voting in Republican primaries to get someone they thought they could beat on the ballot....namely now-Governor Deal, who was in the middle of some shady controversy. Deal beat Handel in the primary runoff by less than 2,500 votes.

/At least that scumbag Oxendine failed in the primaries

That and many Republicans voted in the primary that ousted Cynthia McKinney. The thinking went "there's no way a Democrat won't win the general, so let's get a non-crazy one".

Hey, it's good that they've been able to stay married that many years. He seems like a relatively intelligent fellow till he starts that 9-9-9 bs and says it won't hurt the poor in this country. He seems to be heads and above smarter than the rest of that pack.

"She has been 200 percent supportive of me for 43 years." --Herman Cain

So this means she can abandon him any time, and still be on average 100% supportive of him overall. I'm sure that was part of her plan all along.

I didn't live in Georgia then but hell, I'd sure do that. It makes sense. I wasn't knocking the Dems for doing it....I was fascinated at the idea of it.

Unlike most of the people in this thread, if Cain makes it to the ballot I'll vote for him. I listened to his radio show well before he even thought about running for office and he makes a lot of sense. We need a businessman in the big chair to get our money straight.

Well, if you're going to espouse that you probably need to come up with your counterargument for "we had a businessman in the WH and how did that work out?"

And let me say, I don't think it's a good or a bad thing that he ran a business. As someone with an MBA and many small-business owner friends (including my father) in my experience being a businessman is not as good a predictor of fiscal discipline as it sounds. As with any job, there are known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns.

Personally, I discount the Hermacain for his 9-9-9 enthusiasm. It's so lazy that him putting it out there shows that he isn't really serious.

Hate?

I think I'll laugh at you for proposing the old busted idea that government should be run like a business. You kind of deserve it.

Voters are naturally curious about the spouses of candidates, experts say

[citation needed]

I mean, I'm pretty sure I couldn't give less of a fark if I was actively trying, but I suppose if experts say otherwise...

FTA: Earlier this week, he said that voters would "meet my wife publicly in an exclusive interview that we are currently planning and anticipating." On Tuesday, The New York Times reported that Gloria Cain was "in talks" to appear on Fox News' "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" tonight; yet a producer for Van Susteren's show said Thursday it had not scheduled an interview with Gloria Cain.

So much fail: Cain had a ten-day warning about the Politico story. What was the point of announcing an interview then bailing? It makes it seem like his wife bailed on the interview after the story broke, but in reality they both knew about the story ten days before it came out . . . unless he was stupid enough to not tell his wife that that the story was about to drop. He can't be THAT stupid . . . Can he?

He's not running for prez. He's selling books, never expected to get anywhere near the nomination, and now that he is leading the polls, imo he's doing everything he can to torpedo his campaign. The latest thing is he called journalists unethical and nitpicky for asking about the sexual harassment allegations and said he will never answer any questions about that.

That sounds kind of like Clinton doesn't it? I mean seriously, I'd tell them to fark off too and it's none of their business. That's what Gary Hart should have done and he would have won.
