I remember saying that the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons is a political whitewashing mechanism that accomplishes nothing once, except I referred to it as the CCW. That didn't go down well on the Politics tab.

Incredulous: National Recovery Act?

I saw a mural once that said "NRA - We do our part". It was a depression era painting out in San Francisco or Monterey, as I recall. Came back and looked it up...it was the National Recovery Act. Had never heard of it before.

I used to work for the American Psychiatric Association. Our rival and hated nemisis was the American Psychological Association.
The differences between the two APAs was one included MDs and the DSM-V and the other included PHDs and the writing style manual.
I'm sure none of that caused any confusion.

The National Rifle Association predates both the National Recovery Act and National Restaurant Association: It was founded in 1871.

because father jack wanted to be a member of a fringe militant group called the nra, but their increasing popularity put an end to that. he's a hipster militant and wants no part of the strong lobbying presence and awareness of proper firearm use and safety brought on by such a group as the modern nra

but Clyde called me up today.
He said,"Don't start any fights;
we aren't working nights,
we're joining the NRA."
