Wish Cox would pick up FS+ in my area already. Two weeks in a row of having to find streams.

I'll be at The Emirates again today. Hoping for at least one goal in the match this time

I can't enjoy soccer. Not because of some anti-foreign sentiment or because I believe it doesn't take talent but because my only interaction with soccer is video game soccer where I play at such a breakneck speed with absolutely no let up, it makes the real life thing boring in comparison.

Come on, college football thread, I got some coonass corndog taunts that need to be unleashed.

Wow, two in four posts. Looks like the trolls ate their Wheaties this morning.

Anyhoo, Coyw.

Thank God they managed to beat Krakow this week. The Europa redemption dream lives on. Now if they could only climb the Prem table a bit more I would be a happy man.

Coyw (tomorrow)

Also, no, no, and no.

I knew the answers were no, no and no. The puns in the first two questions were irresistible and the third question was because I figured I had to mention Man U.

Now my list of predictions that are likely to be wrong:
Newcastle 1 - Everton 1
Villa 2 - Norwich 0
Liverpool 2 - Swansea 1
Arsenal 3 - West Brom 0
Blackburn 0 - Chelsea 2
Man U 3 - Sunderland 1
QPR 0 - Man City 4

Evilsmurf: Definitely a quality headline.

Of course I want to see Arsenal and West Brom, but I think the match I'm most interested in watching this week is Aston Villa and Norwich City. No, I can't believe I wrote that, either.

I'm curious where the upsets will be this week.

I'd say all Chelsea matches are must-see TV at this point. If they can't get a result at Blackburn today, look out below

I think if Chelsea can't get a result from Blackburn AVB is gone by Christmas.

What the hell, I'll throw some predictions out there:

Newcastle 2 - Everton 1
Arsenal 2 - West Brom 0
Aston Villa 1 - Norwich City 2
Blackburn 0 - Chelsea 3
Liverpool 2 - Swansea City 0
Man U 4 - Sunderland 0
QPR 1 - Man City 3

Sunday's matches:

Wolverhampton 2 - Wigan 1
Bolton 2 - Stoke City 2
Fulham 0 - Tottenham 3

2011-11-05 07:46:35 AM
Meanwhile in the SPL we have

Saturday:

Hibernian v Dunfermline
Kilmarnock v Inverness Caley Thistle
Rangers v Dundee United
St. Mirren v Hearts

Tomorrow:

Motherwell v Celtic

Monday:

St. Johnstone v Aberdeen

I might catch the Rangers/Dundee United match today. I quite like Dundee United, I've generally found the team and supporters to be quite solid and respectable and have never heard any unfair harsh words from them towards us. It would be a nice surprise to see them get a good result against Rangers.

As for the rest of the day, anyone who isn't Rangers gets my support when playing against Hearts. I know there's at least one Jambo here on Fark so out of consideration I won't be too unkind, so I'll leave it at that.

Sunday's game against Motherwell ought to be a real challenge and yet another test for Neil Lennon. Quite a number of Celtic supporters have been very frustrated with Lenny and with the team this season, and while we all back Neil Lennon the man 100% he is going to have to bring some good results to restore confidence in Neil Lennon the manager. Third in the league and twelve points behind Rangers is unacceptable.

I hate predictions, because I'm damn near always wrong. So I won't make any.

But I'll call winners:

Pool, City, United, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs

2011-11-05 08:10:13 AM
Quirky statistic of the year: When Sir Alex took over in 1986, the bottom four teams in the First Division were City, Chelsea, United and Newcastle. At the moment, the top four teams in the Premier League are City, United, Newcastle and Chelsea.

As much as I feel happy for Newcastle fans for their recent success and all they're gone through, and that Newcastle is finally watchable again with Joey Dipshiat Barton out of their side, I'll be finding myself rooting very hard against them over the month of November. Sadly, Arsenal cannot afford to have even more competition for 4th.

Definitely gotta back Newcastle in this one. Love seeing them crash the top four party.

Also, everton staying below fulham in the table would be swell.

I'll admit, I still haven't seen the Geordie Shore...

It's the Jersey Shore with chavs. You aren't missing much.

Actually, I was just saying this yesterday to a friend of mine. I'm happy for their successes, happier they dropped Barton, but can't wish much more beyond that to finish out the year.

OW

HEITINGA OWN GOAL

Howard had that, why did Johnny come for it?

I have a question for all of you industrious fans. I want to buy a Tim Howard keeper jersey, the camo one, either home or away. However, the Everton website only has small and medium for the green camo and only small for the grey camo. I have been searching high and low, but cannot seem to find someone selling a large (chest size 42-44 inches). World Soccer Shop isn't even selling normal Everton jerseys let alone keeper ones. If anyone knows where I could purchase one (checked ebay and iOffer as well) I would very much appreciate it.

Also, vamos United!

ADubs86: It's the Jersey Shore with chavs. You aren't missing much.

That's what I hear. Also, that it actually manages to be even more mind numbing than the Jersey Shore, which piques my interest in a strange, masochistic kind of way.

Totally agreed. I feel like the cleansing process they went through by being relegated is something most EPL teams can use. Well, getting Liverpool to overpay for one of your players can't hurt either!

2011-11-05 09:07:37 AM
No Fellaini, no Cahill. Only Saha up front. We're actually favourites.

It is becoming more and more difficult to stop people from noticing the league position we're in.

Damn, Everton is looking threatening. Shame their defense is looking brittle.

2011-11-05 09:12:53 AM
We definitely haven't seen the last goal of this match.

2011-11-05 09:13:16 AM
Everton have had three good chances in the last 5 mins and skyed all of them. Seems like some finishing training may be in order.

Not that I mind Everton failing, mind you, just saying they gotta step the game up.

Don't want to belittle the rise of Newcastle's success, but they really haven't played many difficult teams yet, besides drawing to a weak and reeling Arsenal and that draw at home against Spurs. I can't wait to see whether they can prove themselves after this month.

Oh, there's a nice goal. Cradle the baby....

RYAN TAYLOR makes it two.

Damn that was sweet. Feel bad for Tim, he was left helpless.

Sometimes, they just don't go in.

Love Tim Howard, but there's not a keeper in the world that would have stopped that one.

Raylor wow. Wasn't even supposed to be in the team this year but he's really earned his place.

Only size small and medium there :/

Also this doesn't seem to be Timmy's day. Both goals were not his fault.

Wow, did the ball hit the cross bar before going in? Somehow that makes it even sweeter.

I'll be astonished if we finish on the top four. As Cabaye trundles off we've been lucky with injuries and suspensions. We'll only play the two Manchester teams and Chelsea six times. It is the other thirty-two games that count - and if you compare the results from this season against those from last season there is real evidence of progression.

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL

JACK RODWELL makes it interesting at the half mark.

Slightly harsh on Newcastle. They won at Stoke, which is more than can be said for Chelsea, Liverpool or United. And you can only beat the teams put in front of you. Aston Villa, for example, have had easier games than Newcastle, but not only have they not won any neutral admirers, they haven't won many games either.

/Entertaining game.
//Howard's jersey is horrible. Seriously.
