Secret Muslims with forged birth certificates move a lot of water in this world.

B-b-but Obama has to do whatever congress tells him to do! He's powerless, yet at the same time, we MUST vote for him!

Wow, and American business publication choosing the President of the United States as the world's most powerful man. Now why didn't we see this coming? Are the Obvious and Stupid tags off today?

Most powerful tool.

How can an empty suit wield any power?

Well he is The President of The U.S.A.

What was their metric and methodology for determining "powerful" people? In terms of impact and influence on world events/greatest number of people, Ben Bernanke should be in the top 5 and Ayatollah Khamenei and Wen Jiabao in the top 10 (bumping out Gates and Zuckerberg - neither barely do shiat anymore nowadays).

Oh yeah, and how did Mario Draghi not make the list? The Fed and the ECB are arguably the two most important central banks to the world economy right now (probably followed by the Chinese, Japanese, and British central banks), so the people in charge of those institutions should be listed among the most powerful out there.

Anthony Kennedy on there at all?

He's responsible for the Bush presidency and Citizens United, and retains the same sort of power.

In all fairness, Ryan Seacrest has been edging with men for years.

This stuff has always puzzled me. Mark Zuckerburg can switch off Facebook, the President of the USA can destroy the entire world. They really shouldn't even be on the same list together.

That's just what Ryan Seacrest wants you to think, and so you shall!

The President of the U.S. has been the most powerful person in the world since the late '40s. That's some fine list makin', Lou.
