Headline is completely inaccurate. He clearly says in the video that it's 3,118 coins INCLUDING the dime on the bottom.

It's inaccuracies like this that make it hard for me to take fark seriously as a news site.

I came here to watch that and make fun of him, but I think it's pretty damned cool. I don't have the time (or probably skill and practice) to do it, but it's a neat object at the end. He could probably bind the whole thing and sell it in an NYC art gallery for a decent amount.
