So...which Hollywood cocksman is or was hitting that? Clooney? Timberlake? Mayer?

Skyfall? Is this a Bond movie or an Elder Scrolls game?

Goldeneye was the last Bond movie that was remotely watchable, and that had everything to do with Sean Bean.

I'm going to spend the whole movie trying to decide who's more attractive: her or Daniel Craig.

Ticket please!

What, you didn't like Casino Royale? I thought that was excellently done.

Casino Royale is the best bond movie and Daniel Craig is the best Bond.

I own all of them. Casino Royale is so good that it almost makes up for all the Pierce Brosnan crapfests.
Daniel Craig is a better Bond than Connery. I was on the fence for a while, but after Solace, Craig is Bond.

Quantum bored me so much, I don't think I've ever seen the whole movie in one sitting. I think I like Connery better.

I think I'm the only person willing to admit out loud that I liked Quantum of Solace. I also liked most of the Roger Moore Bonds, the early Brosnan Bonds and all of the Sean Connery Bonds--even the one that's not supposed to be spoken of aloud. Can't watch Dalton, though.

I really wish they weren't abandoning the Quantum arc, though. I want to see where it's going.

It's nothing more than generic action movies at this point. He's not a spy, there's no espionage, theres no subtlety. It's explosions and car chases and plot holes. Give me From Russia With Love ten times over Casino Royale.

Now for another exciting episode of She Neither Knows Nor Cares That I Exist!

*Sean Connery voice*

Octopusshy. Octopusshy.

Goldeneye was the best Bond movie and Brosnan at least ties with Connery, IMO.

the problem with Quantum is that it came after Casino Royale, which was awesome. in comparison it is shiat, but it's about average as far as bond movies go.

You're all wrong. License to Kill was the best Bond anything ever.

Dalton was a consummate Bond, and LtK did the "Bond bent on revenge" angle better than Craig. Sanchez was the first sensible villain: he wasn't trying to blow up the planet or something ridiculous, he was just trying to run a drug empire. The Brosnan movies immediately devolved into blockbuster schlock. All flash, no substance. I advise anyone who's been soured on Dalton because of The Living Daylights to watch LtK and judge it on its own merits.

Though I wil say if Dalton had stayed on for Goldeneye, I'm fairly certain the world would've imploded from awesomeness.

This, License to Kill was the closest film to the Ian Fleming novels and Dalton was the best Bond. Craig in Casino Royale was very close, but it's not License to Kill.

Everyone is going to hate on Dalton and Craig and go "but bu Connery!" He was overrated, hell George Lazenby did a better job than Connery or Moore.

Yep, seen them all, read all the books written over the years and I'm sticking with Dalton as the best James Bond.

Connery, then Craig, Brosnan, Dalton, Lazenby and Moore at the bottom.

There you go. (And Dalton is only that far down due to his two movies being a weird mix of remnants of Moore-era silliness and trying to go back to the book grittiness of the character, and Dalton's excellent performance gets lost in it.)

I hated "Quantum" the first time through. It was much better on a second viewing. I think most people see the shaky-cam, quick-cut chase scene at the start and just give up. It gets much better, imo.

"The Spy Who Loved Me".

It's funny, I grew up on the Roger Moore Bond and loved them as a kid (yearly Guild Theater Bond festivals were a highlight of my childhood). But like most people I find that those movies are REALLY cheesy in retrospect.

Thanks. The insanity of that scene always makes me laugh.

I am not the biggest fan of Moore's flicks but I will still watch them if they are on.

"Licence to Kill" had the potential to be great (after all, it was based closely on the part of "Live and Let Die" that was left out of that movie), but the direction was weak, as were most of the characters - underwritten and underacted. Sanchez and his henchman (Benicio Del Toro!) were good. You're right about that. But so much potential went unrealized.

Plus: Big rig cab popping a wheelie. Stupidest, dullest, most intelligence-insulting "stunt" in the history of the franchise. Whoever came up with scene, I'd like to spend an hour alone in a room with that guy strapped to Le Chiffre's wicker chair.

Speaking of which, "Casino Royale" did well what "Licence to Kill" was trying to do.

But yes, Dalton is underrated, and I blame it squarely on the lousy scripts and lousy direction. The director, John Glen, was responsible for some of the worst Roger Moore movies. He just flat-out didn't have what it took for a grittier reboot. So Dalton, while closer to Fleming's Bond than his predecessors, was a whitewashed version, and trapped in post-'80s, men-eat-quiche personna.

And by "biatch" I mean she would never talk to me.

And by "never talk to me" I mean she would be completly disgusted in me.

Did I mention my penis would be hanging out of my pants?

What? Is that wrong?
