I hope not. I've introduced Mrs. Smurf to greek cooking and she's loving it. Don't anybody farking dare touch my sour sauces unless I'm feeding them to you.

Fark that shiat. Greek yogurt has way more protein and less sugar than regular yogurt and is basically the perfect snack for my hypoglycemic ass. You can pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Oh it'll still be around. But it won't be taking up half the dairy isle at Safeway once the fad goes away.

Two things:

I simply like the taste and texture better, specifically Chobani's blueberry.

Chobani non-fat provides 20% of daily calcium while all the Fage non-fat flavored yogurts only provide 15%. I use yogurt for my calcium intake, so the extra 5% makes a difference.

While it's not greek yogurt, Wallaby is also excellent.

I hate nonfat, so I don't get nonfat of any brand. I do 2%. For 2%, Fage is definitely better in terms of taste and texture IMO. I'll get Chobani's 2% Strawberry Banana to eat at work and for when I'm lazy, but at home, I mix Fage 2% with Strawberry Preserves and it's awesome. If I'm lazy/starving in the middle of the night, I'll eat Fage 2% plain straight; I can't do that with any of the other brands. I actually found a store that carried Fage whole milk, so when my Fage 2% runs out, I'm trying that since I bought a container. I bet it's even more delicious- but it's got a lot more fat.

Addendum: Can we all agree that Cabot Greek yogurt, at least plain, tastes like ass though? I got it one when they were out of plain Fage AND Chobani and it was painful to finish.

I don't give a damn about whether yogurt production comes to Idaho. What I want to know is if this will somehow interfere w/ the production of Sparkling Muscatel, one of the finest wines of Idaho.

/May we have straws, please?
