I would have a lot more respect for the man if he just came out and admitted that he is ignorant, instead of trying to pretend that he had some internalized meaning that he did not convey with enough care to prevent the dirty liberals from twisting his words against him.

I still wouldn't vote for him, but at least I could muster some respect for the guy. As-is, he's just a rich, eccentric, monarch wannabe on a book tour, who, if we're exceptionally lucky, will never hold a public office of any substance.
