F*ck Tebow.

Being a good sport is all he really has going for him.

Being on a team with the absolute worst roster in the NFL however, doesn't help.

Double Double: JaMarcus Russell > Tebow

Sadly, that's probably the only greater than Tebow that just isn't true.

2011-11-03 12:15:07 PM
NINE SECONDS? He held onto the ball NINE SECONDS before taking a sack. He could not find an open receiver, an open lane, or at least throw the ball away after nine seconds? I knew he didn't have the best decision making skills but NINE SECONDS! Jesus, this kid is bad.

2011-11-03 12:15:14 PM
WTF do you people have against Tebow? I can understand hating people who pump him up to be some kind of wonder kid. But he himself seems humble, reasonable and is making an honest effort.

Oh this, I actually give him a pat on the back. You went down, the other guy had his fun, and you seem to accept that for what it is. And, frankly, anyone who suggests the guy was mocking Tebow's faith by doing it is a moron. Lot of people in the NFL are pretty religious. Troy Polamalu genuflects after every play (and he recently graduated with a degree in religious studies), Steve Johnson gave credit to God for his performance against the Steelers last season, and tons of players point upwards after making big plays. So can we cut the crap about being disdainful of Tebow for his faith?

Guy keeps his cool when most of the headlines would find a reason to be offended by someone's actions...

He's mainly critical of the stuff he did wrong, and isn't tossing others under the bus.

Regardless of his record, and the PR machine which others generated about him, why should I dislike this guy...?

NINE FARKING SECONDS!

He held onto the ball longer than the span of time between your post and his. That's pretty f*cking bad for an NFL quarterback.

2011-11-03 12:18:16 PM
Tebow said he figures Tulloch was just having fun, not mocking him or his Christian faith by participating in the phenomenon that's become an Internet sensation.

Uhhhh he was mocking you Tebow, that's the point.

If I had to guess, it's probably because he isn't anything better than a better-than-average NFL QB.

But more than likely, since it's Fark, it's because he's too Jesus-y.

/don't mind his faith

There are three ways to look at it:
1. The way Tebow said it (I agree)
2. That he was mocking Christians (wtf?)
3. That the good Lord giveth and the good Lord taketh away. (possible, fitting)

I thought Tebowing over Tebow was pretty freaking hilarious, but then I'm smitten with this meme/trend in general.

I dunno. He isn't really doing much to stop the PR machine he's generating. It takes a few moments to tell the press "Hey guys, I'm still young, I'm still new to the NFL, I still have lots to learn. Can you reign in the cultish idolization of me until I prove my worth in the NFL?"

I would say he gets high off of this attention, but considering rumor in high school was he was snorting cocaine with some of the wide receivers in the locker room before games, I suspect manic worship of him might not compare.

Oh I agree. Like I said, I think Tim has the right of it - guy made a big play and celebrated - and I like that. But keep in mind that some Tebow fans (especially some of whom who are sports commentators) have routinely accused anyone mocking Tebow of doing it because of his faith. And Tebow at least acknowledged that when he said he didn't think his Christianity was being mocked when Tulloch Tebow'd. So, it's out there and it's pretty stupid. "wtf?" indeed.

Some people are just like that, there is a guy here who hates Tebow and Kurt Warner. 2 guys that on a personal level no one has said anything but positive stuff about. He despises them and though he is a Cowboys fan, celebrated at the Cardinals losing the SB with Warner at QB.

Makes no sense to me

Considering the fact that these two teams met recently and the Dolphins lost I don't know how you can believe that, but OK.
