Personally, I'd have more respect for someone in his position if he had copped to it and admitted making a mistake. Of course, that's not always enough to get them off the hook, but at least you can respect the honesty for its own sake. The worst ones are the "no flies on me" type who spout religiosity and moral superiority and get found out. Everybody likes to see a hypocrite get their comeuppance, and it usually just confirms a character flaw everyone privately suspected was there all along.

You're right too. There's a difference between welcome and unwelcome advances. Clinton was pretty iffy on that though. There were a couple of others who surfaced that didn't sound as happy about contact with Clinton. I'm pretty sure Clarence Thomas was guilty of exactly what he was accused of, and got away with it. The way Cain is scrambling for cover doesn't lend his version of events any credibility either.

Remember the sexual harassment case against Clinton that caused the Lewinski business to see the light of day in the first place? I guess not.

How quickly the left glosses over paula jones. It wasnt lying about sex that got Bill in trouble, it was the obstruction of justice over asking Paula to fark with him.
