Mr. Article Writer, there are a great many times when the past belongs there. This, IMO, is definitely one of those times. Just leave it there and move on with your life. The future welcomes you.

There were some great compilation albums in the 80s. One called Human Music is an all-time favorite and Sire's 'Just Say Yes' series was great.

I had some Lookout! Records comp back in the day that I loved. Some of the punk-o-Rama comps were good too.

And the Deep Elm Emo Diaries discs were awesome.

I'll probably get hate for at least the last one.

Why does he say there is Girls Aloud on it when there is, in fact, no Girls Aloud on it?

No idea why them or The Saturdays have never got play here. Yeah, it's pop, but at least it's *good* pop. Can they just take every play of The Lazy Song and replace it with a Saturdays song? That would be grand, thanks.

What no Huey Lewis and the News? I mean their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

Punk-o-Rama was the best compliation disc set. like 5 dollars a cd, always full of 15-20 songs.

But the recordings made before 1776 are true collectors' editions.

/You can keep your modern "vinyl." True aficionados know the best stuff comes from pinned drums.

I was scratching my head at Morrissey being on one of those until I realized the same thing.
