Are you using thegamecrafter.com at all for prototyping? They do good stuff...even to sell your stuff POD if you don't want to have upfront costs.

I've been out of tabletop gaming for many MANY years. I have no idea how much popularity there is in it these days. I suspect a video game would have broader appeal, but would probably be harder to start up. However, starting as a tabletop might give you enough capital to expand into the video game market. The concept is pretty neat, I'll say that much.

I'm assuming the Java is necessary because the contributor list seems to be dynamic.

As long as there are tabletop gamers here, can anyone recommend a good resource for people interested in playing D&D, etc online? IRC and the like, I suppose?

I miss pen and paper but it's hard to find a game in Tokyo.
