That cat has a mohawk. Awesome.

One of our cats did that the other day. I left a bag in the middle of the kitchen floor and left the room for a minute or two, to find her stuck through the hand hold and moping around the kitchen.

We've had that happen quite a few times, actually... including the freak out reaction. I think every cat owner has experienced this.

Our Maine Coon did it when she was a kitten and went ass over teacups right down a flight of stairs.

She was unharmed, but ever since then bags scare the bejuses out of her.

Okay, I lolled, but mainly because that exact thing happened to one of my cats years ago when she was still young. To this day she tears ass every time she hears a plastic bag crinkle.

How did that come close to killing the cat?
-1.

My cat did that once, and did several laps around my place before he got the bag off. In his panic, he ran across my water bed with his claws at full extension, and managed to put a pin hole in it. I found it that night, and pulled off the blankets and went and slept on the couch. The next morning when I went in my room, the floor was wet; during the night, my cat had gotten up on the bed, and found that with no blankets to get in the way, the corner of the plastic water bed mattress made a good scratching post.
Cats.

One my cats managed to get a 'handle' of a plastic bag over both of his front legs before he started zooming around the house.

I swear, there were moments when he was parasailing through the living room.

My cat did that with a paper bag full of recycling; bottles and cans. We came home from a weekend away to find him walking around with the bag handle around his neck. I wonder how long it was like that. I asked, he was too embarrassed to answer.

Cats can be incredibly vindictive. We have four, and the youngest will avoid me if I'm gone overnight, just to show his displeasure at my absence.

..another fun thing to do with a cat... sock over the head (as long as they are declawed)

My grey cat did this when she was young. Ran out the door, I got outside to get a look at her after she slowed down a bit and she realized "IT'S STILL AFTER MEEEE" and kicked in the after burners.
I found the bag later under one of the cars just torn to shreds. She still doesn't like them either.

At last, an explanation for our kitteh's plastic bagophobia. We'd been thinking they left her at the shelter in one, and her it could have been her fault all along.

Came here for exactly that. Well-played.

I had never imagined a cat stampede/panic until one of ours did that with the six others gathered in a circle, watching him. Cats were bouncing off the walls, breaking dishes...It was AWESOME. He did six laps around the house before we caught him.

I stuck a piece of tape on the cat once. The freak-out that followed was completely unanticipated, but hilarious.

My cats have done this several times. The most recent time she was checking out a paper bag when I tapped it lightly. She freaked out, got her head stuck in the handle and ran through the house, ending up under a bed where the bag handle had finally broke.

Every time it happens I spend the next five minutes laughing uncontrolably. Just thinking about it now I can't help but laugh.

Cats do love getting into bags. With the handled brown ones we'd always pick our cat up and take it for a quick walk around the house. You couldn't tell if she liked it or not, but it never stopped her from getting into each and every paper bag we took home.

Way to miss all the action, retard with a camera.

My cat did the same thing with a black plastic bag except it was stuck over her head and she couldn't see. Ran off banging into everything in a panic till I got a hold of her.
