Dangerous intruder? A drug tester?

I gotta wonder what kind of pills daddy was giving them as kids.

I get the need for random drug testing, but I don't get the need for random drug testing at 6am. Perhaps she has been ducking the guy because she is getting something out of her system.

Zombie Neurosurgeon: Who shows up unannounced at 6 am?

If you're in a sport where drug testing is the norm, testers can and will show up anywhere, any time and any place, and you have to submit to a drug test or face sanctions.

Many tests are more accurate in the morning, before breakfast.

It's like Gattica. One day they're going to take a competitor about to serve for match point and make them tinkle behind a curtain on the court. It will be glorious.

/especially if they fail

Meh. It's the price for playing the sport. If people didn't cheat it wouldn't be necessary, but as has been proven thousands and thousands of times, people will cheat and cheat and cheat.

Kinda like competitive curling and someone blows beneath the minimum alcohol threshold.

It's random. I think HBO's Real Sports did a story on the testing agency, maybe it was just for cycling, it was a few years ago.

The competitors don't know when it's going to happen but they do know it can happen at any time.

Diuretics. If athletes know about what time you're coming they can take one to piss out whatever they have in their system. This kind of defeats the purpose of random drug tests.

That's where she keeps her Whizzinator. She needed a couple minutes to get strapped on.

I hope the panic room had a urinal.

Also, USADA (and WADA, I think) require you to list one hour of *every single day* when you will be in a known location.

Most athletes choose "6-7AM, at home," because fark you drug testers, that's why.

So this may have been USADA just doing their jerbs.

They do that after tournaments. For a tournament, the (smart) cheating player would have planned to be in the "clear" phase of a cycle or something. The point of the random, anywhere in the world, anytime of the day testing, is to catch them during a doping cycle or whatnot.

/or to get them to lock themselves in their safe room

Yeah you don't actually have to be available all the time, just one hour a day.

On the other hand, the website for the Whereabouts program is apparently, a MASSIVE pain in the ass.
