I got voluntarily bumped on a LOT Warsaw-Copenhagen flight, they were overbooked, I got $100 for my troubles. I figure no biggie, it'll be a Boeing or Airbus. Step on, everything looks almost normal, but not quite. Damn thing turned out to be a Tupolev. As it started up, lockers un-latched, seats fell forward and the sound of the engines was about 5 times louder than sitting next to the powerplants on a DC-9. I chose to partake of the complimentary vodaks quite liberally.
