I'm completely sympathetic to some of their grievances but these people need to stop behaving like jackasses.

it's the Murdoch propaganda mill. Now watch as Fox news repeats it and uses the NYPost as a source.

all anonymous sources too. how convenient.

2011-11-02 09:53:46 AM
Heh... I see the NY Post is using the same "anonymous sources" bullshiat Fox news likes to use when "reporting" on the OWS protests.

These clowns are either too stupid to realize they've cried wolf one too many times, or the morons that fall for this confirmation bias bullshiat don't care... Probably a combination of both.

2011-11-02 09:56:03 AM
Not a single named source in the article, aside from a doctor they called in Chicago who would have no frame of reference for anything that The Post claims had happened.

I can't say that none of this stuff happened, but I'd be more inclined to buy it if it wasn't spewed from the toothless maw of a Murdoch rag.

Hey, put enough Farkers together long enough and you will have the same effect.

Yeah, well.

This reminds me of that Tea Party protest where I got gonorrhea from riding a Hoveround in my bathing suit.

Murdoch paper treating OWS like Woodstock '69 hippies?

That's unpossible!

You do know what the NY Post is, don't you? No? It's a stupid tabloid owned by Rupert Murdock. It's never been any more reliable than The National Enquirer.

"Occupy Wall Street protesters are flocking to nearby health clinics for STD and HIV testing after getting their freak on in '60s-style hookups with crusty strangers, sources told The Post yesterday."

Yeah, okay, New York Post.

If it is billed as news and you have to pay money for it could you sue them for false advertising or a 'bait and switch'? Would it be any different from buying a medication and instead getting a sugar pill?

Volunteers at the medical tent hand out cash, usually $15 or $20, so the randy radicals can visit clinics that cater to a low-income clientele, the source said.

You don't have 15 bucks to go get yourself tested for the clap after banging the chick with matted hair, big hairy pits and bush, and wearing a Phish necklace, who hasn't showered in 2 weeks, because you spent the last month in a park protesting people who actualy work for a living? I'd so "go fark youself, hippy" but you'd probably just give yourself another VD.

It's called a job. Look in to it sometime. Your friends may know it as "that thing you do inbetween getting wasted so you can buy more weed"

Well, that's just typical. Just because someone has ACHIEVED their dream in life, there's always someone who just wants to tear him down. You know, if you spent more time working on yourself and less time tearing down others due to your class envy you would be a happier person. Just because someone can get wasted all day and you can't is no need for this obvious jealousy.

Humans are an infinitely renewable resource. It takes some time to bring them up to speed and fit them in the machine, but the delay is minimal in the grand scheme of things and their numbers guarantee there is always another to take the place of the broken bits.

Yes, in a sense. But there's a difference between fraud in food labeling and delivery of news.

I know what you're saying, because the Murdoch empire is a hyperbolic example of how a free press can be abused. But it happens to be the foundation of the republic we live in. State control of the media is hardly a solution.

It's not working - polls show more and more people in sympathy with OWS - it doesn't matter whether they like or admire them personally. The right-wing smear machine is failing, this time.

Fraud in presentation of news has an easily administered antibiotic called "truth".

You eat the food, you dont have to read the news. Maybe becuase news has opinion.. the owner said he had to shorten hours and fire people due to dropped business. the drop seemed to start with the protests. I see no problem in them reporting what he gave as a reason, doesnt matter if he is correct or not.

Everyone knows the meat is from an animal which no longer exists outside McDonald's labs located in the Nevada desert.

They can already be sued for libel.

Fined? "Running" is your word, but fining them for their content sounds like control to me.
