To continue my theory...Corey Millen was a defensive minded center...Steve Thomas was an offensive Left Winger...Left Wing activists are anti-gun...People who are hawkish centrists tend to favor the right to bear arms...Corey Miller is a brotha...brothas often carry guns...Steve Thomas is dead...Chewbacca is a wookie...

Ladies and Gentlemen, this does not make sense...

2 witnesses out of a 150 said he did it and 9 witnesses out of a 150 said he didn't. sounds like another open and shut case. one of the two witnesses may have did the deed themselves. cops and prosecuters don't care who did the crime as long as they can get a score.

asshat chose the wrong name.

eyewitnesses are notoriously unreliable, even when they aren't informants, criminals or partying down at a nightclub. did they have any real evidence? not that anyone would care. his name convicts him. too bad he couldn't afford p-diddy's lawyers.

now there is another famous musician whose nickname happens to be "the killer" but that's ok - he's white.

the KILLER

Nice troll. :)

This is so... totally... irony. Some rapper gives himself a goofy gangsta handle, which for most of his colleagues is just a cynical marketing ploy to build his street credibility, but then he ends up murdering someone for real. I'd sure consider that ironic if I worked for his label!

2003-10-01 11:27:57 AM
I disagree. If I decided that drinking blue Kool Aid was the thing to do, then called myself "Wacky blue Kool Aid Drinker Number One", would that be a coincidence?

So you are saying he took the name with the plan to go and kill someone. When was the murder committed and when did he rename himself?

2003-10-01 11:28:12 AM
not 'ironic'

'obvious' or 'dumbass' tag
or 'obvious dumbass'

2003-10-01 11:28:19 AM
rupert_prime: Funny how his nickname's "The Killer", not "The Cousin F---er"

All jokes aside, Jerry Lee was a great musician

Adman12, if you look at it that way, you have a point.

I will henceforth be known as C-aknbalz

There is also forensic science involved, I am sure. Probably gun powder residue all over his hands, not to mention blood, brain tissue, etc etc. People make crappy witnesses, especially after boozing it up in a club all night.

2003-10-01 11:31:55 AM
If there were no guns these criminals would still be killing each other with knives, crossbows, grenades, chainsaws, pieces of broken glass, Windex injections or whatever else they can get their hands on.

Guns might it a little more convenient, but have nothing to do with the intent to kill someone.

/adding fuel to the flamewar

Another East coast West coast rivalvry I see.
Snoop Dog is gonna pimp yo sissy-ass mama P-Diddy .
In da houze! Boyz!!
Keep it real, keep it real. Yo. Real.
Yo, man.
Like, yo.

Real.

Man, if you were any more wrong you'd probably be right.

C-Murder is from New Orleans (my hometown, noone really likes him there, either). He's an idiot trying to ride the coat tails of his brother, Master P (Percy Miller). Anyone named Corey should not be considered 'hard' or a 'thug.'

Its obvious they're not cut from the same cloth, Percy and Corey. Percy, potentially able to play college ball, tore his ACL in high school, and ruined his chances at that (in reference to the raptors remark up top-just so ya know- he had some pretty good skills) and when his grandfather (or great uncle or something) died, he was left with a couple thousand dollars which he used to create the No Limit name (starting from a record store).

Percy's a very ingenius businessman, for someone who's only got a High School diploma. He owns some triple A basketball team in Baton Rouge, contributes to his old catholic church, and although his demeanor isn't very savory to many people, he has earned and maintained the respect and admiration of nearly all of New Orleans and the music industry, in general (not necessarily for his music, but for his business saavy and his philanthropy).

Unfortunately, his brother has chosen another path, and his name, C-Murder, has proven to be a self fulfilling prophecy.

what can ya do?

2003-10-01 11:33:01 AM
Some example he's setting for his nephew Lil Bow Wow!!

New name:
C-ornholed in prison everyday...

2003-10-01 11:34:41 AM
oh...droog you less than a Jew askew...
in some strange universe, you matter.
Here? now? Take a deep deep breath and Blow your own ass.

2003-10-01 11:34:46 AM
Obvious tag, all the way man.

2003-10-01 11:36:33 AM
Well now that you put it THAT way, LeatherPenguin...

So what am I supposed to care about that?

2003-10-01 11:37:28 AM
Thanks much, themanfire, that was me. And I, like PottyMcNugg, Cyric-The-All, bmooney, Tourney3p0, the_pgoat and SidVacant felt that the tag was more appropriate.

Name yourself C-Murder and you can't be surprised when this happens. That would be like, I dunno, Ted Kennedy adopting "DJ Bad-Driver" as his rap name. Or Nixon using "MC Cover-Up." (With hot DJ Agnew Action!)

But I'm sure "C-Law-Abiding-Citizen" or "C-I-Don't-Carry-A-Piece" probably wouldn't sell many albums.

I wonder if rappers and people really into the hip-hop scene ever realize they are moronic and the modern day version of disco divas.

Canada has rappers?

i am a staunch supporter or putting criminals in prison -- for life ... even for death if truly deemed necessary.

i have been on juries before -- even been the foreman, so i know all about voidire and all that.

if this kid is guilty, then he needs to go away -- period. the evidence, as detailed by the press, would seem to indicate that his defense was flimsy at best.

that being said, i have to wonder whether as a juror i might have been biased by the fact that he was a rapper named c-murder.

he might be able to get a new trial on those grounds.

if you had a suspected killer presented to you and you were on a jury, and you were told that the kid was a rapper who glorified violence, drugs and sex and was known by the name c-murder, would you have been able to set it completely aside ?

i think this kid would have been better off just trying to be a kid accused of murder and not a rap star accused of murder ...

2003-10-01 11:40:34 AM
Who he?

2003-10-01 11:40:42 AM
OK I want to pile on too. This is not ironic this is obvious. Will you people please learn the difference between the following three things:

Obvious: This story
Irony: The rapper's name is C-Not Guilty
Coincidence: The guy killed was a rapper named C-Victim

You couldn't be more wrong, dude. Disco scene was a flash in the pan. Hip hop is nearly 30 years running.

2003-10-01 11:42:14 AM
I say execute him the same way he did that 16 year old, and this way it will save the hard working, non rapping tax payers a few bucks...g*d d*mn thugs, this shiat really pisses me off. A 16 year old, really how much could someone that age really do to deserve death?? Its time to make examples out "these" people.

2003-10-01 11:42:23 AM
Son of Thunder: Yeah, for some reason, it's the only genre in Canadian music that doesn't break America.

Trust me, our guys beat Celine Dione and Nickelback (shudder) anyday.

2003-10-01 11:42:24 AM
Coincidence: The guy killed was a rapper named C-Victim

So why is the killer being called C-Murder not a coincidence? Its exactly the same logic.

2003-10-01 11:44:07 AM

Hey, if Tupak (or OnePak as I call him after he paid someone to shoot him in the leg and instead got shot in the toolbag) can release seven posthumous albums, this guy's got a huge career ahead of him in the joint.

"Coincidence: The guy killed was a rapper named C-Victim

No it's not. If the victim was named C-Victim and he was killed by a bolt of lightening it is obvious. However, having C-Murder murder and C-Victim be the victim that is a coincidence.

2003-10-01 11:47:06 AM
Wow, weemill

You know a lot about rap.

You were right, I honestly had no clue what I was writing. I don't keep up with it.

2003-10-01 11:48:30 AM
I bought a CD once that this guy had made an appearance on. It was one song on the album that he did a verse for. I liked that song and went out and bought his CD. This was all before I discovered Napster. Anyway, there were two mediocre rap tunes on it. As you could probably imagine, all the lyrics had a violent theme to them.

Some example he's setting for his nephew Lil Bow Wow!!

His nephew is Little Romeo, not Lil Bow Wow

\suddenly embarrassed to know that.

2003-10-01 11:49:12 AM
I guess we can expect a killing spree from Ol' Dirty Bastard in order to keep pace?

2003-10-01 11:49:58 AM
I still maintain that this is the best kind of irony. Like as if someone here on Fark gave himself the screen name "DogFarker" that we all thought was really funny, but then one day he got bored of fapping his fippy to Interporn and went out to the yard to fornicate Fido. He invented the name to make us think he was funny and outrageous, but in the end even he was just as surprised as we were to learn that he was actually just a sad little dogfarker. That's ironic!

2003-10-01 11:50:10 AM
ODB wont go on no killin' spree as long as dem beotchs give him dat money!

2003-10-01 11:51:20 AM
No it's not. If the victim was named C-Victim and he was killed by a bolt of lightening it is obvious.

That's clearly a coincidence. What'd be obvious is if the guy was standing in a field, waving a gold club in the middle of a thunderstorm. His name does not mean he will obviously die, hence it is a conincidence.

2003-10-01 11:52:58 AM
Adman 12- WHO TOLD YOU!

2003-10-01 11:53:02 AM
He should have asked, "What would Hammer do?" MC Hammer never killed anyone. But nooooo!

Is everyone from a 'hood given a mic and taught to sound like they've got a mouthfull of HubbaBubba while they spout irrelevant nonsense?

/tired of having hiphop "culture" shoved down throat.

We'refourofthethreemusketeers:

I thought Romeo was his son.

/not too embarrassed to know that, am already a general music nerd
