There's simply not enough xanax in the world for me to deal with the American cult of celebrity.

CSB time. When I was working for a company called touch support. One of our clients was Simply Hosting. Simply Hosting schtick was genealogy websites. One day I answered the phone and a voice says "Hi this is Alan Osmond from the Osmonds." he wanted some information on getting a second website set up for their geneology stuff. His personal site had been on Simply for years. We talked for a bit and learned that one of his nephews was good at the tech stuff and would be helping him out. Nice guy. (but aren't all mormons?)

Why would anyone introduce themselves like that to a tech support person?

eh, it was quite the 70's thing to incorporate some martial arts moves into your musical act. Elvis did it, too, as did Jim "Dandy" Magnum, the lead singer for Black Oak Arkansas, who later saw his entire schtick borrowed stolen by David Lee Roth.
