I'm all for sensible gun rights. I even owned a .22 rifle in my youth, and I lived in a CA suburb. (never shot it there). But I think there should at least be a license for gun owners, that has a photograph, and if the photograph looks like the guy in this story, some authority figure should be able to say no farking way.

Just because they are handy does not mean tighter gun laws would reduce murders significantly. The thing tards like you and gun owners like the rest of us need to work together on is legislation to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. Jared Loughner, Seung-Hui Cho, etc.

I think that is something that could gain bipartisan support and could end up being beneficial.
