The first was an above average gore flick. The sequel just went lazy and didn't have any story at all. The gore genre is just so damn formulaic and bad now. It's stupid. Having a decent plot doesn't cost extra but makes a hell of a difference in whether I am willing to sit through yet another attempt to be the grossest.

Chris Elliot is doing some amusing stuff on cartoon network as some kind of detective. Only saw two episodes but I lolled.

For a "group of isolated teenagers gets killed off one-by-one" movie, it's pretty good. It takes itself just seriously enough.

Wait, people actually liked that movie? And there's already been a sequel? I'd rather watch 5 of the worst Troma movies than have to sit through that piece of crap again.

I saw the original a LONG time ago with some friends. I seemed to be the only one who liked it.

For some reason I remember an advertisement on the DVD box saying Peter Jackson loved it... at least I think it was PJ. That is honestly what made me pick it up.

I liked the first one well enough, and I seem to remember the second being pretty lame but still fun. I think it took itself a lot less seriously than the first. But, it's been a while and the wife and I watch a ton of horror films, could be wrong.
