Hersheys' normal chocolate is grainy crap. They CAN however, make some fantastic stuff, if you go to Hershey and get the gourmet bars in the shop. Just that it's expensive and the average American wouldn't know the difference between good and bad chocolate if their actual life depended on it.

Lemonheads and Bottle Caps are not bottom tier candies.

That is all.

Peanut M&Ms are the greatest candy. The sweet candy shell, the milky chocolate filling and the crunchy peanut center. It's the perfect grouping of flavors with a mouthfeel that is unsurpassed.

They're the only candy immune to the law of diminishing returns. If you have a big bowl of them, the last is just as delicious and satisfying as the last.

Do they still make Reggie bars?

I dissent to Tylenol being on the list. We have them every year for the parents and they're a big hit.

/The kids get juice boxes & glow sticks this year.

Hershey's is crap. That being said, the best candies possible are not the packaged mass produced kind. But going to expensive sweet shops isn't exactly economically reasonable for Halloween give-outs.

IgG4: I'm giving out temporary tattoos. Tell me how much I suck.

Well, it's not something to eat, but depending on the tattoos, that sounds like an awesome alternative.

Much less than if you were giving out permanent ones.

I'm giving out temporary tattoos with razor blades in them.

Look, people. This is not difficult, there's even 10 commandments.

1) Chocolate is good, but caramel is vile and unholy. To mix them is a great sin.

2) Chocolate and mint, especially in the form of a York Peppermint Pattie, shall earn much redemption.

3) He who givest Pixie Sticks shall be counted among the Most Blessed Number.

4) Blessed too be the givers of Sweet Tarts and Smarties, Starbursts and Skittles, for they are delicious and most good.

5) Bearers of Jolly Ranchers shall be counted among the blessed, though those who taint their offering with Watermelon will be cursed and cast down.

6) Givers of Twizzlers are the enemy of man.

7) As are givers of Milk Duds.

8) And Kit Kats.

9) Tootsie Rolls shall earn their giver some favor, but only by the handful.

10) Cursed be the Candy Corn and all those who give it.

Snickers and Reese's Cups at the BKITU household this year. We rock.

Screw the trick or treaters. I am going to be over here with my Lindt chocolate truffles, superior by far to any other plebian chocolate you can name.

This is the greatest candy bar ever conceived by man. All other candy bars shall bow down to its awesome, almondy glory.

They're usually next to the chocolate covered PayDay bars.

Kit Kat Bars are the greatest candies of Halloween, and I don't even like sweet foods and chocolates.

I like Lemonheads.

My conclusion: there's way too much chocolate and not enough candy.

coco ebert: My conclusion: there's way too much chocolate and not enough candy.

Everything is as people expect. There are no surprises anymore. I'd like to see kids try something new, like Chinese prunes, or salted preserved plums in licorice powder, or the dried preserved orange peels that I like so much.

This man speaks the truth. If you're gonna have a hierarchy, just put Peanut M&Ms at the top and everything else below.

I'm giving out Snickers Ice Cream Bars this year.

I got a lot of complaints about the Bon Bons I gave out last year and I figured it was because they weren't individually wrapped so this should do the trick.

Reminds me of something similar from the days of yore... one bar, several types, like a box of chocolate in bar form... I remember cherry, fudge, caramel, and no coconut nor mint (which was fine)

That was also the seven up bar. They had two versions, the one in the picture was one version and the other had cherry cream and raspberry jelly...no mint or coconut.

It was simply awesome.

Hershey's run of the mill stuff is "not good". They can do some premium stuff though.
My issue is that I have a computer controlled chocolate tempering machine - I make some awesome things (one lady at work who took some cordial cherries home told me her husband said he would file for divorce and marry whomever made them...). I cannot give out home made treats so that the kids who show up can taste real chocolate. There are a few exceptions - parents who are with their kids have to give permission, if the kids are know by my son (who gives out the candy), etc. I did have one mother come to the door last night (after our haloween had ended) to beg me for another few after trying the one her daughter brought home,

Remember folks - these are the "good old days" - major chocolate shortage coming due to climate conditions.
Expect to see a lot of crap like the standard hershey bar on the shelves.

Sorry, but candy corn is below bottom tier, right there with black licorice.
