Vick had all day to pick the D apart.

The Cowboys were exposed last night. I never expected the Eagles patchwork o-line to do the job they did. The rest of the season won't get any easier once everyone else in the league watches the film.

The Cowboys are exposed every time they play. They are REALLY bad.

I had Murray and Witten last night. My opponent, who is undefeated in our league, had McCoy.

I've never been so pissed about an Eagles stomping of the Cowboys....

The Eagles O line was pretty much back to normal last night with Jason Peters back at left tackle allowing Herremans to return to the right side. Peters played some inspired ball last night. I'm not saying the Eagles will have it easy by a long shot, but if they can get by Chicago next week, then they have Arizona... could have a nice 4-game win streak taking them into the rematch with the Giants. That could be very interesting considering the Giants are AT New England and San Fran the next two weeks.

Piss poor effort. Rob Ryan claiming it was only him getting out coached is bs. They came out and pulled down their pants at midfield. O-line, D-line, LB's, receivers (except Robinson) all sucked. Murray had a couple of nice runs but at 21-0, Garrett tossed out that half of the playbook. I said last week after they schooled the Rams that I was taking that with a huge grain of salt, and we'd find out Sunday night who the Cowboys really were. Know we know.

/How on earth did the Saints lose to the Rams?

Not that I want your stinkin' boys to do well, but I think the NFC east is wide open. The Giants remaining schedule is BRUTAL and I think the Eagles and the boys have a legit shot at winning the division when all is said and done.

The Packers are head and shoulders above anyone else in the conference anyway.

2011-10-31 02:16:24 PM
The Cowboys continue to be the most inconcsistent, yet talented team in the league. Theyve got players. could use some help in the secondary sure, but they are not completely helpless. Not sure what causes to make strides and than regress the following week. Unfortunately, you have to start with the coach.

2011-10-31 02:18:18 PM
Yet another Cowboys game where they abandon the run way too quickly.

In the very least, try to hold onto the ball for a couple minutes at a time to at least give Rob Ryan a chance to think of something inspiring to say to his defense while they're getting stomped out there.

theknuckler_33: The Packers are head and shoulders above anyone else in the conference anyway.

This. The Lions are probably going to make things interesting, and the Saints will rebound, but the NFC is the Packers' to lose.

The Cowboys have depth problems everywhere, and the positions where they should excel, i.e., wide receiver, are not pulling their weight (exactly where the hell were Bryant and Austin last night?). The guys on The Ticket here in Dallas this morning were also ranting and raving about the fact that the team continues to waste a roster spot on David Beeler when that Bailey kid has clearly demonstrated he can handle all aspects of the kicking game. Apparently Jerry keeps Beeler because they'll need a "cold weather kickoff guy."

Jerry has never been much of a GM, but that's a Matt Millen-level of stupid right there.

Well he already missed his chance for a home field SuperBowl, he's probably got another 3 or 4 years at least before that comes around again.

2011-10-31 02:25:23 PM
The Eagles are probably the best designed to beat the Packers in the NFC, but they may never get a chance to play them.

MugzyBrown: The Eagles are probably the best designed to beat the Packers in the NFC, but they may never get a chance to play them.

We'll see. The next three weeks are going to be very interesting in the NFC east. Eagles have two home games against Chicago (beatable) and Arizona (very beatable) and the Giants are away for two games against NE and SF before the Eagles/Giants rematch. Gonna be a fun ride.

MugzyBrown: The Eagles are probably the best designed to beat the Packers in the NFC, but they may never get a chance to play them.

Agreed. They can keep the score close and stand a good chance of slowing Rodgers down, but blew too many shoulda-coulda-woulda games already to make the match-up a certainty.

Still, gelling at this point in the season is as good as any time. Hopefully they can keep it rolling.

Murray had an impressive game for only having 8 carries(74 yards). Too bad they fell so far behind so fast they really couldn't use him.

What's to be concerned about? They were just outplayed on offense, defense, and special teams on national TV. The only good things that happened to Dallas was 1) They weren't shutout and 2) It was a road game so they weren't booed by the hometown fans.

GimpyNip: vinnydoz007: continue to be the most inconcsistent, yet talented team in the league.

People always say this about the Cowboys. Maybe parted of the problem is that they're not that talented. Dez Bryant and Murray each have a good game and next thing you know they think they're Irvin & Smith. The Cowboys are as good as their record.

Its hard to argue against some of the talent on that team. Im not saying they are all stars across the field. But i am saying, given the level of talent. They are sucking quite hard to do this bad.

The Eagles rush D has been pretty bad all year. The fact the Cowboys didn't challenge them on the ground from the start is utterly beyond me.

I don't care what the score was; the first-half play calling should've been at least 55%-45% run. Prove that the "wide-9" can actually stop their ground game.

2011-10-31 03:02:31 PM
Well for once it wasn't Romo who gave the game away.

The announcers even called it in the middle of the 2nd....The boys were is an balloon prevent pretty much the entire game. The eagles had all the time in the world to pick it apart. For some reason the cowboys moved away from what had been working for them all season.

If you look at the 1st half play by play you'll see they got unballanced more by sacks and penalties than anything.

I think people are over stating what Murray did. He had a couple of big runs than screw the numbers, but in general the Eagles were solid vs the run.

I had Murray on my bench (Gore, Rice, and Fred Jackson was more than enough, in my 10 man league nobody else is as strong at RB) this week, and I don't even like the Boys, but it still drove me nuts. The man AVERAGED like 9.5 yards a carry. I don't care what damn team you play for, if you've got a talent like that you can tap, give him the farking ball. His average performance = a first down, go nuts with the guy. Give him like 40 carries.

Killer Cars: Yet another Cowboys game where they abandon the run way too quickly.

What? I haven't looked at the breakdown yet, but it seemed to me like they weren't really passing it a whole lot until the 4th quarter (which makes no sense to me). Then again, it's hard to really get a good feel for the game plan when you're playing 3 & out over and over again.

Leather!: The Cowboys are exposed every time they play. They are REALLY bad.

No. They're not. They're an alright team who had a shiatty game. There's quite a difference there.

If you want to race with the parking brake on go ahead, just dont expect the other cars to feel sorry for you.

Ryan had no answers last night. That umbrella coverage took away the big play, but so what? They were carved up underneath at will. Why he didn't make some sort of change is beyond me, especially when they were forced to use 100 year old Keith Brooking to cover the underneath routes. He can't cover a fence post.

Turned it off at the half.
Although I did take a peek back later just in time to see Bryant getting mugged in the endzone 4 feet in front of the ref for one of the most blatantly horrible no calls in history.

Because I was venting my frustration with the fact that the Cowboys sucked ass last night, which is a fact.

I've been in enough threads to know you are a diehard 'Boys fan so I'm not going to argue anything. I was wrong to attack you knowing you love them through thick and thin (which I gotta say is great compared to fair-weather fans). At the same time, why don't we admit that they truly did suck ass last night and move on.

But I am interested in that graph you have, where did the numbers come from and how big of a sampling size did you take? I'm just saying because NFL's Fan Rankings put them between 15-17.

I haven't seen anyone here claim anything but "the Cowboys sucked" last night. We can talk about schemes and whatever but we all agree it was terrible.

And Di's graph is from a polling of everyone on Fark. If she sees a new fan of a team posting she adds them.
