FTA:
In recent years, Block spun off a handful of organizations from Americans for Prosperity, most of them incorporating "prosperity" in the name. Officials with Americans for Prosperity emphasize that these other groups were legally separate from their organization.

Among the exceptions:

People's Front of Judea
Judean People's Front
Judean Popular People's Front
Campaign for a Free Gallilee
Popular Front of Judea

ACORN made Mark Block smoke that cigarette while Herman Cain was fondling women off-screen.

We don't have to, the establishment GOP that wants Romney is already doing a fine job.

The Congress of Racial Equality is headed by Niger Innis, who did not return calls last week. He and his father, Roy Innis, made several appearances at Wisconsin tea party events in the past.

Really? I mean, really?

...and don't forget, Planned Parenthood is a nefarious plot to abort black babies.

The only thing more ridiculous than Herman Cain's campaign is the yahoos who think he would make a good president.

'Course, if you took Cain's name out of that statement and replace it with pretty much any GOP candidate (Romney's probably the only exception) in the running, it would be equally true.

Combine that with "make 90% of their income from it" and you have statements that were not intended to be factual...

Isn't it weird that the only sane GOP candidates also believe in magic underwear?

Romney is a flip-flopper of epic proportions, and Huntsman believes in the gold standard. Their wives grow tired of their company and have ordered some sausage pizza from their local Godfather's, and Herman Cain is making the special delivery personally.

To be fair, he's only sane in comparison to the other GOP candidates.

He stayed where he was; everyone else just got crazier.

That's true, but let's be honest... Santorum has a better chance of getting the GOP nod than Huntsman.

He probably should switch to the Democrats (as should Romney). It's pretty obvious the GOP went full on unhinged right wing nut job in '08, and has no intention of looking back.

The best republicans right now are the democrats. Time for a left party to jump in and the democrats just change their name.

Huntsman is every bit the "tax cutz'n'deregulation will fix all our problems" lunatic that Romney is. He's just not a culture warrior.

I can at least see an Obama/Huntsman debate not devolve into "I love Jesus, why do you hate him?"/"Centrism for all". If that makes Huntsman "sane", I guess, but let's not pretend he (or Johnston, for that matter) is some kind of crypto-Democrat.

Old-world GOP of the Buckley stripe is still GOP, and their tired ideas will not help in 2011 any more than they did in 1981, 1991 or 2001.

What few on either side seem to grasp is that the Brothers Koch and their ilk simply do not care who runs in the general election. They only want to gin up the base and the base likes, nay LOVES, crazy. These are the ones who turn out for the primary. They are the least politically aware. The least aligned with the majority sentiment. They are for more religion in the public sphere and against government except when they get something out of it.

They represent 11% of eligible voters. And they are calling the shots.

All that frothing at the mouth in 2009 with Beckapolooza and the townhall meetings about how they're going to take our country back, and revolutionize the GOP and "repeal and replace".

... and after all that the moderate from Massachusetts, who governed as pro choice and pro gay rights, who was the friggin GODFATHER of Obamacare, wins the GOP nomination running away.

All that sound and fury over nothing.

I'd love to have a Moderate Left party as an option.
