Are we going to stop pretending that he's really still coaching and not just a team mascot?

Article headline: JoePa gets record in 10-3 win against Illinois

First sentence of article: Joe Paterno broke Eddie Robinson's record for victories by a Division I coach with No. 409 in Penn State's sloppy 10-7 win against Illinois on Saturday.

Farking proofreading, how does it work?

Well, damn, our two main OOC games, besides an FCS school, are Penn State and TCU. Who the fark scheduled that one? Why couldn't we pull a Frank Beamer and schedule all cupcakes?

Soon JoPa will retire/die and Urban Myer will return to the coaching ranks.

Illinois should have won that game, but we barfed up the ball and pretty much handed the game to Penn St.... pathetic...oh well, I guess it's back to reality for us Illini fans.

That guy is going to die on the field one day. I'm not saying that to be mean either. At least he will die doing what he loved.

/grats on the record JoePa

At least Illinois lost to a real team, unlike Iowa who lost to the farking Gophers.

I'm a biased PSU alumnus and the first admit that our offense is terrible (with the exception of Silas Redd) but how come no one is praising our defense? We lost to the #2 team in the country by 16 and no one has been as close since. We have (barely) won the rest of our games on defense alone. I would have never guessed that we would be 8-1 right now...

cettin: praising our defense

Our defense IS MOST DECIDEDLY in BEAST mode.

Devon Still is almost unblockable!!

Congratulations JoePa.

Have you ever seen the comments of a Yahoo! News article? These people eat paste; I am sure they won't notice or care.

If Michigan cornerback JT Floyd can manage to pick off a pass this week I'm sure he'll be returning it untouched to the endzone since Iowa clearly has no idea how to grab a hold of Floyd right now.

Our offense was all out of sync, but the Illini offense was all full of turf that was being force-fed constantly by the Lions' defenders. That was a freaking beatdown by the D... savage and nearly unrelenting.

I swear to god, if any of our receivers could simply close their hands around a flying object instead of dropping it like a molten ingot, while keeping Bolden on the bench, we'd have trampled the Illini completely. Look at the McGloin-Moye hookups in the 4th... why can't he teach the other idiots to catch?!?!?! We are 8-1 and most fellow PSU fans that I know still don't feel at ease predicting any game will be a "W" beforehand.

Nabb1: Are we going to stop pretending that he's really still coaching and not just a team mascot?

We'll do that when he stops coaching, whistle and clipboard in-hand, on the field, every practice. He's been grooming OCs/DCs since the Cold War heated up... they know what he wants. And he wants to wear black Nikes, a shirt and tie under a PSU windbreaker, vote Republican, and coach from the box.
