That is cold, man. Funny, but cold.

Man, you can get people to believe some crazy things if you torture them and hold them in solitary long enough.

But I think that one just strains credulity a little too far.

Think he believe it if someone told that the Jets won the superbowl?

Maybe the Egyptians could have gone one step further and told him it was still 1986.

Ollie P threw eleven consecutive perfect games to capture the title.

The misinformation was a joke played by Rep. Gary Ackerman, according to the New York Post.

But did they play the video to prove it?

Gunny Highway: Ollie P threw eleven consecutive perfect games to capture the title.

Heh. The funny thing is that Ollie actually pitched a great game in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS when most of the fan base was pretty much shiatting our collective pants over the idea of him starting Game 7. So him doing well in that spot would at least be within the realm of possibility. Assuming that you had the misfortune of thinking that he was still on the team.

Ask him who won the world series.
-Are you kidding? That's the first thing they teach them in spy school.

Well, if I was in jail and you told me that the Detroit Lions are 5-2 while the Indy Colts are 0-7, I would tell you to stop lying and fark off .

Ollie was kind of okay down the stretch in 2007, too. He wasn't bad in a big spot. He was just inconsistent the rest of the time. And then got awful, not because he's a headcase or couldn't focus, but because his fastball went from 95 to 87.

Oh, and it could be worse. We could be on the hook for another year of Derek Lowe.

To be fair, most of them do it for the money.
