This afternoon I was out at Target and I saw a little girl, maybe 4 or 5 years old, in a Mario costume, complete with fake mustache.

Obviously, that was a blasphemous violation of natural law that must be stopped.

I think this quote was quite telling:

In a published report, Bishop Dennis Toone defended the flier's guidelines.
"I thought it was church policy. I'll defend the church and anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to come," he said.

Apparently, this guy doesn't know church policy, but will defend any decision without thought. That's some fine Jesusin' there, Toone.

It sounds absolutely adorable. A friend's kid (seven or eight, I think) is going as a mobster for Halloween and he has a painted-on pencil mustache. The Facebook pictures crack me up so much.

"I think definitely a child as young as a toddler can understand when a parent says 'no honey, you can't be Spiderman or Harry Potter because you're a girl and that's a boy.' I think that immediately tells your child their decisions are wrong," Smith said.

Because teaching gender roles to young children is a bad idea. -_- Beside that, as a parent it is your place to make sure your child knows when the decisions they make are wrong, so they can correct themselves, rather then turning into entitled, narcissistic, spoiled brats. Being told that you are wrong isn't bad, it is how people learn. Thomas Edison, who said, "I have not failed 10,000 times. I have successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work."

The Fight: What does it mean and where does it come from? An Essay: Homosapien. A man. He is alone in the universe. A punker. Still a man. He is alone in the universe, but he connects. How? They hit each other. No clearer way to evaluate whether or not you're alive. Now. Complications. A reason to fight. Somebody different. Difference creates dispute. Dispute is a reason to fight. Now, to fight is a reason to feel pain. Life is pain. So to fight with reason is to be alive with reason.

Final analysis: To fight, a reason to live. Problems and Contradictions: I am an anarchist. I believe that there should be no rules, only chaos. Fighting appears to be chaos. And when we slam in the pit a show it is. But when we fight for a reason, like rednecks, there's a system, we fight for what we stand for, chaos. Fighting is a structure, fighting is to establish power, power is government and government is not anarchy. Government is war and war is fighting. The circle goes like this: our redneck skirmishes are cheap perversions of conventional warfare.

War implies extreme government because wars are fought to enforce rules or ideals, even freedom. But other people ideals forced on someone else, even if it is something like freedom, is still a rule; not anarchy. This contradiction was becoming clear to me in the fall of '11. Even as early as my first party, "Why did I love to fight?" I framed it, but still, I don't understand it. It goes against my beliefs as a true anarchist.

But there it was. Competition, fighting, capitalism, government, THE SYSTEM. That's what we did. It's what we always did. Rednecks kicked the shiat out of punks, punks kicked the shiat out of mods, mods kicked the shiat out of skinheads, skinheads took out the heavy metal guys, and the heavy metal guys beat the living shiat out of new wavers and the new wavers did nothing. What was the point? Final summation? None.

Actually it's not.

Technically CHRISTMAS is a forbidden holiday. Imagine how ungodly halloween is. And it does say somewhere women may not dress like men or vice versa.

That's how they were able to burn Joan of Arc at the stake. It wasn't the rabble rousing, the banner holding, or the killing Englishmen with her sword. That's just war. They got her because she was wearing trousers.

shivashakti: This is absolutely batsh*t insane...

Not really. This is mellow for some of the weirder stuff they do. Ever see somebody throw a computer away because somebody emailed him a boobie picture? He claimed the computer was "corrupted". I kid you not, I saw it happen. I didn't last long at that print shop. The insanity was unbearable.

For anybody who's thinking that Romney has a chance, he believes this stuff as well. The republitards are nuts but not suicidal nuts.

A girl dressing up as a boy is weird! We don't want the kids to know about weird things. We want them to know about normal things, like magic gold angel tablets no one gets to see.

The mormon church began to mainstream in the 80s. The accelerated a bit in the 90s and apparently went full bore in the last 5 or so years. They are a far cry from what I was raised as.

And yes. You should believe in this because you'll burn in the terrestrial kingdom, that's why.

This has always been the church policy for halloween events, and it's never been to yell at little girls for dressing up like batman or for a little boy who wants to dress up like a powerpuff girl (less likely but i've still seen it happen). The rules are just to prevent some stupid kid from crossdressing, tripping on a dress or something, getitng hurt, and suing. Of course t doesn't do any good and every halloween event i've ever been to someone goes as a nun and no one freaks out or asks them to leave or anything.

No, not really. Having grown up mormon, everyone I knew dressed up as we wanted to. Sometime in the 90s, things began to get weird- trunk or treat? As a parent I was a bit turned off.

Having said that, I never heard anything about how to dress and what to wear on halloween. Even when I lived in Provo.

Remember, these are morons mormons, the Word of God is NOT unchanging to them. Thanks to the doctrine of "continuing revelation" their President can reveal the new, updated, revised Word of God which can change prior divine doctrines.

Hence how polygamy was once required to get into Heaven, then banned so Utah could become a state, and how blacks were regarded as divinely cursed and regarded as descendants of Cain and unworthy of ordination. . . but now they, and their money, are welcome.
