Crap, damn it all...

We won. Bin Laden's dead. Let's come home to victory banners and leave the damn place to it's own, again.

There's no better reason to be in this country than this. Spread another 100 billion on it.

Why do you guys hate America? We NEED the military because it gives us JOBS JOBS JOBS...
A few casualties are worth a low unemployment rate.

2011-10-29 10:04:54 AM
Why?

2011-10-29 10:04:55 AM
Well if those jerks weren't in Afghanistan in the first place than this never would of happened.

2011-10-29 10:06:12 AM
His majesty of the United States of cut and run will probably turn tail at the next opportunity, since he hates victory and freedom.

2011-10-29 10:06:39 AM
Poor guys were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe we should get all of our people out of this wrong place.

It is time.

The incredible gains we could make in the center of worthlessness can't be ignored. Just the other day we indicted an american death squad and sent them all to levenworth. What a farking waste.

good thing we have a nobel peace prize winning president who completed the mission (killing or capturing bin laden) and got us out of there.

The people in charge of this thing need to take a long hard look at the situation and ask themselves if we can actually accomplish the long term strategic goals that Bush laid down and Obama later re-affirmed when we went in there. The only reason to be there is if there's a realistic chance to prevent it from becoming a safe haven for anti-American extremists. If that's not possible, withdraw, isolate the country to minimize the damage it can do and let them fend for themselves.

The entire middle East is a lost cause with the exception of Israel. The people want to be stupid and live in the stone ages. We need to Pull out, discharge, leave quickly. The exact same way everyone treats your mom.

Hell, 1,500 pounds of explosives could probably give some tanks trouble I'm guessing.

2011-10-29 10:16:25 AM
These people died so that the 1% could continue to reap in hundreds of millions of dollars in defense contracts annually.

This is the cost of our current political/economic situation. This, and so many other deaths....

In the end, this is what it comes down to; Either we accept that we build our Empire upon the bones of the dead, or we move to change ourselves in the hopes that enough change will happen to affect the whole in measurable ways.

I am not looking to exploit this tragedy for a message. This is the sort of sobering tragedy that reminds me what the point of having a message is in the first place... to try and create a world where such violence and loss of life is prevented to the best of human ability.

After being rammed by a truck with 1300 lbs. of explosives, no armor in the world is going to save you.

I guess the armored car all of the troops were in was armored for peace purposes. along with the unmanned aerial peace-vehicles and peace-tanks blasting things to peaces. Werent the guys killed 13 members of a missionary group on a peace mission? I get it

2011-10-29 10:18:21 AM
Can you imagine how history is going to judge the US for going into Afghanistan with the mission they had, a mere 12 years after the country brought the Soviets to their knees? I mean, it looks dumb now, but imagine how this will look in another 50 or 100 years.

So many trolls, I don't know which one to bite!

It has long been my opinion that the best time to withdraw the largest portion from the region has come and gone; when Saddam Hussein was executed. It only took a few military to kill Bin Laden, just like it only took a few to take Pablo Escobar out. If we had withdrawn 90% or more of our forces when Hussein was executed, America would have been more apt to face new challenges worldwide that are emerging everyday, and had more resources to strengthen our resolve where it counts....in America. While it is true our placement was able to influence corrupting forces throughout the region, to help facilitate emerging Democracy out of chaos, that is not inherently the purpose of the military. Out of wisdom, I remain nuetral on the current course of action. At best, we can claim responsibility for a temporary stability in the region, which as stories like this remind us, are very temporary indeed...regardless of what we do or do not do.

/just my humble opinion

Pull out our troops and nuke the shiathole from space. It's the only way to be sure.

We need to come home and hide in our basements, you know, just like farkers.

I almost forgot.. this comes a day after multiple headlines in the international media of US troops being tried for the peaceful practice of "sport-killing". If foreign troops came to the US peacefully sport killing your fellow citizens, the resistance in US would dwarf the afghan insurgency. 1300lb bombs? that would be what the trailer trash puts together. our citizens would have already put together nuclear bombs without the help of the government.

Why are these people so mad? I mean we just invaded their country, killed their citizens, made their political system more corrupt. I mean it sounds that these people just can't look forward and forget yesterday.

why the fark are they even there - they're mostly small tribes there in constant power shift, there is nothing to save there that is worth the cost of these lives. FTFY

I'm convinced at this point that 90% of all farkers are paid trolls to get more people arguing to pump up the post count.

Sorry folks, I'm out of this retardfest. Fark farking sucks lately.

I like the CBC Version (new window)

In huge letters.
BOMBING KILLS 13 AMERICANS NEAR KABUL
and then in tiny small letters
4 Afghans also killed.

I wonder if it's our tendency to over-value North American lives and under-value the lives of brown people that got us into this mess in the first place?

2011-10-29 10:40:32 AM
So it goes.

There has been much written on this. It isn't hard to find.

Clearly this is a political move by Fartbama to get re-elected.
