Yes, this is certainly an official response to the OWS movement and not at all the work of someone trying to stir the pot. It should be forwarded endlessly and discussed on the news. Get started, people.

Yeah that's trolling.

Approves.

Ya gots to admit...they do be a vicious lot.

It appears to be written by someone who would give out bongs and Che Guevarva rolling papers for a photo op.

Yep.

I want it to be real, though. Just so that there's a paper trail to whoever wrote that thing so they suffer accordingly.

Delicious copy pasta, have some.

You really think a white collar turd from Wall St would ever go near a shovel?

Por favor

Retire at 50? Aren't they usually dead after a 3rd heart attack at 50?

No worries Gents, we'll still be around to continue plowing your lonely wives.

The author would do all that, huh? Weird. I'd just move to London and get a financial job over there.

Yes hard work and busting your ass means your vicious.

All of these OWS idiots need to realize that a degree does not guarantee a job, especially if that degree is in some bullshiat field like art history or liberal arts.

But hey blame the ones who built up your expectations, that makes perfect sense.

Given that we have freedom of speech and freedom of the press, what would that be?

Pfft. If you aren't dead at 45 by snorting coke off a hooker at Goldman Sach's holiday party, you are TOTALLY doing it wrong.

LOL. I really don't think those Wall St. farkers could do the kind of work that they're taking about. They live in cities and gated communities, so they sure won't be killing and eating shiat off their land. I bet 75% of them never even had a real job where they got their hands dirty.

Nice try, but unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful.

Well, you know. If it was real, I doubt the author would actually be a qualified pilot. So if they're dropping leaflets, it means they paid someone to do it. Hell, probably with an expense account card.

I like how these morons think they'll get hired doing something else, like the concept of overqulification is completely foreign to them.

I know countless brilliant, well-educated, tenacious people who have been out of work for more than a year because they can't even get hired at Home Depot. One guy I know got passed over for work on a yard crew this summer, and he has an MFA and MBA.

These idiots aren't going to get hired, period. They'll starve on the vine.

2011-10-29 09:58:43 AM
Yea I doubt anyone in Wall Street would bother writing a piece like that.

They don't even take the extra second anymore to pull over and spit on the homeless.

In my day, our wealthy would run over your child with our carriage and then toss you a nickel to bury him.

Ahh the good old days.

I've really been trying to follow this whole thing but I've been working nights trying to make a living so it's been tough keeping up with the news. Thank FSM for Fark and the threads.

Maybe someone can help me out. What's with this movement of Masochists that are basically saying " I work 3 jobs just to survive and I'm one paycheck away from financial ruin. But I'm not complaining so neither should you." It's like spousal abuse syndrome. "Oh, they're good people. You just don't know them like I do." Have we been getting screwed around for so long that the idea of making a change is foreign to us? It seems like half the country has this attitude of "Yeah, screw me and treat me like a whore. Just leave the money on the dresser." I'm surrounded at work by a lot of Fox News talking points parrots. They honestly believe the OWS movement is just a bunch of freeloaders wanting free money. And when I talk about how these people don't give 2 shiats about them and will take every last dollar they have, I'm met with an argument that boils down to "Nuh Uh. Evil liberals, Soros, Gheys. JOOS!!"

I miss the days when I could vote some Republicans and some Democrats. Things have become WAY too polarized. We are in desperate need of some balance that may not come in time.

I just started at a random spot in the article and made it through a few sentences before realizing this is all just a bunch or bs.

FTA: ... Guess what: we're going to stop buying the new 80k car, we aren't going to leave the 35 percent tip at our business dinners anymore. No more free rides on our backs. We're going to landscape our own back yards, wash our cars with a garden hose in our driveways. ...

1) You're 80k car was probably made overseas by a European country. Thanks for supporting Detroit again.
2) You never left 35% tips at your business dinners. Throughout my career, at all of the jobs I've held, I've always been embarrassed when our executives are picking up the tab. They run the poor waitstaff/bartender ragged, then leave a pittance. Now, when the salespeople have the plastic on the other hand.
3) Free rides on your backs? WTF are you even babbling about?
4) You were hiring illegals to landscape your backyard for slave wages. You probably won't stop hiring others to do that work for you, but if you do it won't be American workers out of a job. No loss there.
5) Car washes are cheap. Even the filthy commoners you are taunting can easily afford them. You were more likely to wash your 80k car by hand than the 15k economy model made in Detroit. Thanks again for buying American.

That's all I got through before giving up hope that there was anything of substance in the piece of shiat. That reminds me of the "bootstrappy college conservative" from a week or two back. Both of those two are just talking out of their asses to feel good about themselves and to put others down. Fark them.

I figure, getting their hands dirty is something they did and hated. It is a great motivator for self improvement for some people.

I have a masters in history and went to a liberal arts college, and now I work in film and am responsible for 12 people in my employ. These silly rules and bullshiat little stereotypes don't always hold up.

The pamphlet is fake or one person's rant, but the idea that white collar workers can't do these things is silly. Of course they can.

"I didn't hear America complaining when the market was roaring to 13,000 and everyone's 401k doubled every 3 years. Just like gambling, it's not a problem until you lose."

One issue with this. When you crap out at Vegas, you don't get a bailout. You take your loss and go home.

"You eat what you kill"?

Really?

Bet the white collar metrosexual that wrote that has never killed a thing in his life, much less ate it.

And the height of his physical prowess is to not take a piss for 10 hours because you "have a position"?

There are Korean Star Craft players that laugh at your incontinent bladder, Mr Wall Street.

Go fap to American Psycho again, Wall Street tough guy.

"So they think they can troll."

No, they're not trolling. They don't give a flying fark about what you or I think. And I'm fine with that. Nor do I care what the OWS clowns say. How can they fight for something when they cannot even give any specifics of what they want?

FWIW: What they say in the leaflet is pretty much straight out of Atlas Shrugged.
