Eddie T. Head: Back in my lurking days the FarkTV and Super Deluxe threads where some of the funniest ones. If I had been having a bad day and I got home and logged on and saw that tag, I knew that my mood would go through a complete 180 just by reading through the accompanying thread.

This. I wish they'd start making them again. They were BAD, but bad in the "The Room" kind of way.

There was potential, but compare this:

World of Wifecraft (new window)

vs the similar but superior sketch of SMBC Theater's:

It's shorter, paced faster, fewer characters, and it doesn't try to shoehorn a famous sketch and instead makes its own gimmick.

I'm confused how this is news? This is pretty much the same deal they offer everyone else who is a YouTube partner. The only difference that I see is that they have to upload the stuff to YouTube and no one else for 18 months. They also are giving an advance on the ad revenue. So that's new. This is professionally created content, but there are some YouTube partners right now that make some pretty professional content.

This is just a press release Google handed them.
