Hey, Charlie Brown only comes on once a year.

Charlie's Angels? The real version is on 20 times a week on cable, and if you just want to see jiggling tits, that's what the internet is for.

I actually kind of liked the 2000 movie. Maybe cause I love Drew Barrymore and Sam Rockwell was a cool villain and Bill was in it. The Matrix bullet time thing was still in its infancy, etc. The new version didn't have any of that going for it.

I didn't even know there was a new version. And I don't even have cable. Not that I would have watched it.

"Lights please.

And there were in the same acre farmers, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their crop by night. And, lo, the leaf of the Pumpkin came upon them, and the glory of the Pumpkin shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the leaf said unto them, "Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings of bok choy, which shall be to all my people. For unto you is born this day in the field of sincerity a seed, which is Christ, the Gourd."

"And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the seed wrapped in swaddling husks, lying in a corn row." And suddenly, there was with the leaf a multitude of the heavenly roast praising Gourd, and saying, "Glory to Gourd in the Highest, and in Earth peas, and good will toward men."

"That's what Halloween is all about, Charlie Brown."

Charlie's Angels failed because it was a higher budget version of V.I.P. that actually took itself seriously.

You can't take yourself seriously when the premise for your show is so preposterous in the first place.

And if you actually are going to take yourself seriously, you're going to at least need some quality acting chops to be able to pull it off. Casting some cute waitress/model trying to break into showbiz isn't enough.

Oh and yeah and dialogue not written by some depressed hack mortified his career has stooped so low.

It failed on all counts.

GIVE US ORIGINAL CONTENT!!

there is a reason shows like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Justified, etc. etc. have great followings.

The old guard of networks really needs to get a handle on this. Reality TV and rehashed crap just aren't going to cut it.

But, it's cheap, gets decent ratings, and brings in enough ad dollars to satisfy the machine.

So, shiatty reality is what you'll get.

Amazing that one cable station like AMC can have three of the most talked about and highly regarded original series (Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men), but all the broadcast stations can do is make formula sitcoms and rehash old TV series. Even when they have a good series, they run it into the ground so that it's no longer good, like "The Office".

It's just a matter of time before Parks and Recreation and Community do the same.
Hopefully, the shows will end on a high note before that happens, although with Community's ratings this season, I don't think it'll make it until May.

Most of my fellow nerds that I know hate that show. It's not a show for nerds at all. It's a show that makes fun of them, and in kind of a mean spirited way I might add. It's like every gamer/math geek/physics major stereotype rolled into one poorly written, laugh track laden show.

And yet, SOMEONE is watching it. Probably the same people that loved, and likely still love, "Two and a Half Men."

My personal choice of shows that is geek humor by geeks for geeks are two of the three shows remaining on sci-fi worth watching: Eureka and Warehouse 13. While not the best shows, they provide enough humor, fun, and character development to keep me coming back.

I can't believe the pilot killed off Nadine Velazquez (Catalina from My Name Is Earl) and brought Minka Kelly in. That's like watching the Panthers sitting Cam Newton in favor of JaMarcus Russell. Very painful to watch.

I'm a nerd and I find that The Big Bang Theory is more like what the normals think nerds are like but it all turns out insulting to nerds. Like if nerds were a race, TBBT would be a Step n' Fetit routine.

The first season of Parks and Rec sucks. Don't get it. The show floundered at the beginning, but the second and third seasons were amazing and are why the show has the following and reputation it does now.

As much as I love Parks and Rec, I love Community more. I'd vote for that.

Haven't watched Mad Men, though I've been intending to since it's on Netflix now. No comment.
