I'm going to hell for laughing at that headline, but at least I won't be alone.

It isn't. What we have here is Murder 2 during an act of armed robbery.

Ehh, might have been self-defense. Look at that sixhead.

Ah. Since La Grange is outside of Chicago, I immediately thought of John Lee Hooker in Blues Brothers and was confused.

So you are saying that he entered the residence with the intent to rob the girl, and in the act of the robbery he stabbed her to death?

That's a lot of detail for someone who wasn't there. Or were you?

Early Friday, police released a sketch of a dark-complexioned black man, 25 to 35 years old, about 5-feet-8 or 5-feet-9 inches tall, with a medium build who was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and had a patterned backpack or strap bag.

A dark-complexioned black man. Is that like the opposite of a light complexioned white man?

La Grange immediately made me think of Joseph Louis Lagrange, the famed French mathematician.

I guess this makes me a nerd or something.

I'd look to the NO police department to aprehend a suspect of brownish color, named Jesus, soon. I heard he just left Chicago, and was reported to be bound for New Orleeeens. He works from one end to the other, and all points in between.

JamesLi: So you are saying that he entered the residence with the intent to rob the girl

No.

Robbery is the crime of taking or attempting to take something of value by force or threat of force and/or by putting the victim in fear. At common law, robbery is defined as taking the property of another, with the intent to permanently deprive the person of that property, by means of force or fear

There's no need to prove intention to commit robbery. He stabbed a 14 year old girl and things were missing. Robbery was committed. If he was a harmless burglar he wouldn't have pulled a knife. He was a dangerous burglar. A robber-burglar, or rurglobber.

I know that! I just find it funny it has to be referenced like that since by definition a black man has dark complexion. It would've been ok if they had mentioned a light skinned black men but not the other way around.

I saw ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd in Peoria, IL about 10 years ago...

After a hour of Freebird, all we wanted from the Tres Hombres was nothing but Afterburner, Eliminator and a song about some girl and her sister on the hill.

But no, they had come out with their 'new stuff' - some damn good blues, but not what anyone was wanting.

I know this is Fark and everything, but jesus people... a 14 year old girl came home from school, discovered a black man in her home, and he farking killed her.

I've already got my first class seats reserved, but even I think laughing at this is just in poor taste.

Subby - couldn't you have picked a less tragic news item from La Grange if you really felt a need to make that joke?

Or if you did want to submit this, it didn't have to be done so distastefully. I understand they've got you under pressure to come up with a witty headline, but this one made it sound as if your head were somewhere else, like in Mississippi.
