I mean, what more do you need to know about the Tea Party other than that they are a collection of hypocritical, racist, nationalist hillbillies with no concept of how our government works?

The Occupy Wall Street folks have been a little more nebulous than that when it comes to messaging.

To be completely fair, though, I'm willing to bet that at least a portion of the teabagger hits have little to do with politics.

They boycott Google because Glenn Beck told them that they're socialists because they put up a doodle celebrating Lucille Ball's 100th birthday but not Saint Ronnie's.

Then they end up using Google anyway because they're dumbasses who type URLs into the search bar of their browsers.

Just because you are willfully ignorant doesn't mean other people are. You have been making this battle cry since day one. It is your own fault that you do not know what the 99% stand for. Here's a hint: It isn't as simplistic as the Tea Party.

The worst ones are the people who punch the URL address into the google search field, and then click on an ad link instead of the actual site.

Subby missed the point entirely.

Occupy Wall Street is generating more public interest than the Tea Party did at its peak:

.

As for popularity, that'd need a different metric, I imagine.

As opposed to a bunch of hippies, hipsters, poor college students and labor unions who think they can change government by protesting office buildings?

That assumes the Google Searches are a direct correlation to amount of public interest. The Demographics of both movements would tend to lend toward why one was more google searched than the other.

They don't have the luxury of having an official mainstream news network to disseminate their messages like the Tea Party did.

But looks like getting creative worked. The protest has gone global.

Apparently somebody missed the 2010 elections. They have definitely been co-opted by the fundi's, loonies and neo-cons by this point, but at there peak they were very popular with a good cross section of this country.

In fairness the protests started global and came here. The AdBlockers people were basing their protests of the Arab Spring protests.

They were always a rebranding of the Republican party, and they were so popular and effective that their support managed to lose the Republicans some sure-thing seats.

I don't think either group of idiots should be shaken down for money. Or maybe I believe both groups of idiots should be shaken down for money. At least the Teabaggers can afford it. Still not fair to charge one and not the other just for demonstrating.

that's the lame attempt by the right wingers to somehow connect the dots between Soros an OWS.
