That's a shame. There is a part of my anatomy that resembles a python, but it's not my heart.

I do eat all the fatty foods I want. I just make sure I don't overindulge and don't just sit on my butt all day and get some exercise in.

Joking aside, invasive pythons are quite the problem in the Florida ecosystem right now.

However, I've read that there's actually a breeding program in place for a native snake that's a relative of the boa, that they're hoping will eradicate the invasive species. The only problem is that they have exteremely slow metabolisms, and thus will not prey upon the pythons with any sort of regularity.

This is where my post gets on subject and appetite comes in. Scientists are manipulating the genes of these boas so that their tiny snake brains will release more of the hormones that indicate hunger to reptiles.

It's imperative that these genetic experiments succeed. These boas must constrict additional pythons.

Gators and Crocs seem to gobble up pythons just fine. Just have the weed out the biggest pythons.

When the boas get out of control we will breed a line of super aggressive vipers to do away with the boas. Thus solving the snake problem once and for all.

Damnit, I thought of a completely different Python.

In fact, the first thing that came to mind when I read the title was this:
The Eye of the Python (new window)

It sounds like they're breeding them too long for combat.

I wish I was a python, every couple of months I'd just have to go to Fogo de Chao, life would be so awesome.

Wow, this is a new one... a paper that we reviewed in journal club at the lab ends up on Fark. Of course it was the "fun" paper not the boring yet-another-calcium-channel one...
