(Some Guy) Dumbass If you're going to steal a sammich, have a plan. Stealing a forklift for a getaway vehicle is not a plan, by the way. (With creepy mugshot)   (wtae.com) divider line 32

Why isn't stealing a fork lift for a get away vehicle a plan? Sure it's a plan. It's just a crappy one.

The bartender and the police chief looked like they were really enjoying their 5 minutes of fame.

I guess nothing much happens in Ross Township.

As someone who drives a forklift for a living, I'm getting a kick out of this.

/11 mph with the pedal to the floor. Bumpy ride over the smoothest pavement. Roars like a dinosaur when driven at full speed. And don't bother trying to steer when it's going faster than 10 mph. It's gonna tip over with you on it.

Few criminals have had the career of Carl "Meszmeriso" Collins. At just eighteen, he tried to rob a bank using what the teller described as "Jedi Mind Tricks". After grabbing the money, he tried to flee on a steam roller. Police easily caught him and sent him to jail.

While awaiting trial, Meszmeriso put himself in to a walking coma. Unable to act in his defense, he was released on a technicality. He then went back to his life of crime.

Whether it was robbing a gas station or the Federal Reserve, Meszmeriso always chose poor escape vhicles. Police arrested him on a Zamboni, electric golf cart and even meter maid's Cushman three wheeler. Each time, Meszmeriso would place himself back in to a coma to await his inevitable release.

Sadly for him, his last arrest meant he would have to spend time in county. The county lock up is a dorm style jail where the inmates have much greater mobility with in the jail and hence, more freedom. The fact that Meszmeriso appeared at his arraignment sans pants proved that he did not get to sit in quiet comatose peacefulness at the jail but was more likely passed around like a joint at a Phish concert.

It is expected that Meszmeriso will be hosed down and eventually released from jail.

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

That guy is a dead ringer for the manager of the student housing complex where my nephew and his buddies live at Penn State. Real creepy guy who is always stopping by at odd times to 'check the faucets'.

Faulkner, who was found by responding officers sitting in the forklift, told them that he saw the keys inside and drove it to a parking lot next door to Sieb's, police said

Wait, the officers were sitting the forklift?

no sense, this makes.

FTFA:
Police said Sean Faulkner ordered food from Sieb's Pub on Babcock Boulevard and ran out the door without paying Sunday.

Later:
Sieb also admitted to taking the sandwich without paying, police said.

"Faulkner was charged with theft and receiving stolen property."

Receiving stolen property? Was he trying to fence the sandwich? Or is it that he received the stolen property as a consequence of having it in his possession when he stole it?

2011-10-28 01:50:44 PM
No, it's a plan. Not a good plan, but a plan.
