No, but a store is a public accommodation, and they aren't allowed to discriminate based on race, color, etc. He has the legal right to be a racist dick in private. For instance, if it were his private guns, he'd be within his rights not to sell guns to Muslims. Since he runs a store, though, he has allow it, or he can be sued.

It is, of course, OK to discriminate against socialists, even at a store. Walk in wearing a Che Guevara shirt, and he'd be within his rights not to sell to you.

I understand what the law is, but I also understand that it is utterly wrong. The government has no business telling a private person how they must operate their private business, and whom they must do business with. The 5th and 14th amendments are pretty clear on property rights. We've allowed the government to usurp the natural rights of owners, and it is sad. Sure but what can be bad about making a racist sell to everybody? Because it is a slippery slope. Now you have the government telling you what items you can sell, when you can sell them, when you have to be closed if you sell certain things, what can or can not go on in your business, how many of certain types of businesses can be in an area, what businesses are allowed in an area period. It's a travesty that we bend over and take as Americans, all in the name of the public good farking the rights of an individual.
