(CNN) Cool Say what you will about Jersey Shore, but at least it inspired Mike Judge to take Beavis and Butt-Head out of moth balls. Heh heh ... balls   (cnn.com) divider line 127

I'm sure the lucrative check from MTV Networks didn't hurt.

I hope it compares with the original run. The originals are still the best.

This time, though, they need to negotiate permanent rights to show the videos. When they pulled the commentaries out of the original show it really hurt them because those were some of the funniest parts.

I can't believe how excited I am for the new episode tonight. I set my DVR three weeks ago. By the way, I'm 32 and I have two kids.

They did. HOWEVER, this time, they had to get permission to use the videos. Previously, they could take whatever they wanted. The relationship between musicians and MTV has changed. They're no longer so dependent on the station that they have no say in such things. I hope that Judge leaks the artists who turned them down.

They did have free range with all of MTV's original programming.

After like, what? Fifteen years of a successful run of King of the Hill, I seriously doubt Mike Judge is doing this because he needs the cash.

I remember why it was pulled off the air. It wasn't because of ratings, but because of all the stupid pre-teens getting themselves killed/maimed doing the stupid things on the show.

You remember incorrectly. There was some stuff about Beavis' obsession with fire and Frog Baseball, but it went on for years after that. That's why they put the disclaimer on at the beginning.

The show ended because Mike Judge wanted to do other things like King of the Hill. It's really that simple.

Go to youtube and look for the 5 minute long clip from Comic Con, Judge hasn't lost his touch.

And, the only thing the "ZOMG THINK OF TEH CHILDRUN!!!1!11" hype did was get Beavis and Butthead more attention, and got 'em moved to a later time slot.

FFS, it is Crystal Pepsi, period. Pespi clear was never sold in the US, nor is it even the same beverage

And it was delicious

31 with one kid here, also excited. Not sure what to expect though. I'm afraid it's just going to suck. Thing like this often do. We'll see though, fingers crossed.

Joke from new show:

Snooki: Hello, I'm a slut!

Butthead: I think that's how she answers the phone.

The herpies joke that's too long to type properly is also solid. Definetly DVR'd much to my wife's chagrine.

There is a bit on one of their CDs about a new channel call the Cool Channel that only plays cool stuff. In 2011 there is a Cool Channel and Bevis and Butthead arent on it. Not cool.

I got all nostalgic several years ago and bought the collection on DVD. Sadly, it's just the B&B parts without all the videos. Somehow, it just wasn't the same.

King of the Hill didn't run for all that time. There was a hiatus, where they just weren't making new episodes at all. But FOX hadn't cancelled the show. It was just kind of not happening. Usually FOX is quick to hit the kill switch too, so that's a bit of a shock that they fell asleep at the wheel. The final season of KOTH wasn't that memorable besides Luanne having that baby....

If Grim Reaper made more than three music videos, Beavis and Butt-Head need to mock the crap outta 'em.

Finding out what Boomhauer did for a living was pretty awesome.

I thought the final season was better than the previous two. They put out around 20 episodes a year for 13 years. They slowed down towards the end of the series but I dont remember any hiatus besides that.

Not true. After a 5 year year old kid burned down his mom's house and killed his little sister, the incident was blamed on Beavis and Butt-Head. MTV responded by ordering Mike Judge to make no more jokes about Beavis being a pyromaniac. Also, all the fire jokes were erased from existing episodes, making it impossible for the unedited episodes to be included on the DVDs.

Thankfully, the ban on fire jokes does not apply to the brand new episodes.

Wow... that CNN interview was already extremely awkward and tense...and then she asks out of the blue, "I understand you're going to turn the big 5-0 next year...is that true?"

*long pause*

Yeah, about that - I don't farking care. I admit to watching B&B a few times and it was kind of cute when a long forgotten (deservedly so) girlfriend called me Beavis but I have no desire to ever see that crap again.

I saw an interview with Mike Judge earlier today - you know what? We don't care anymore! Come up with something new - i don't want to see Beavis and Butthead sitting around watching Jersey Shore.

The episode "Mr Anderson's Balls" also raised a shiat storm of controversy. Beavis & Butthead stole Tom Anderson's bowling ball & dropped it off various buildings in town to see what they could wreck.

There were stories on the news of teenagers mimicking this, and allegedly a couple of people were killed.

The original episodes were frigging awesome. I hope the new stuff is comparable.

If that's true, that is bogus. I only have the first volume of shorts, but that sucks.

Also, I love this clip. I always remember it and chuckle. Definitely looking forward to the new episodes!

It's true. The DVDs included edited episodes. They called them "Director's cuts" or some stupid shiat like that to make you think you were getting something special, but in reality, they were sanitized by MTV/Paramount episodes.

Same goes for Ren and Stimpy.

Check out the Amazon reviews for long, complaint-filled lists of just what was cut from each released episode (besides videos, of course).

My favorite B&B video commentary moment was something along these lines:

Beavis: Hey, that's Kaopectate over there.
Butthead: Oh yeah, that is Kaopectate.
Beavis: It's supposed for be for diarrhea, then I took it for a whole week, and NEVER GOT DIARRHEA!

I was laughing so hard that I threw up a little. ;-)

Will they be talking about THE PENIS!? Are they going to talk about THE VAGINA!? Most importantly, are they going to talk about MASTURBATION?!

Laughed as hard as Beavis and Butthead did during that episode.

Boy he's really going after the people that were pissed about Beavis' pyromania, isn't he? The first thing out of his mouth during the first video was "FIRE!" and it took off from there.
