I'd rather see Silky Johnson hatin' on Velvet Jones. Except Chapelle is no longer in a position of being able to take the high ground if it comes down to, "I remember when you were funny."

C-I-L-L David Spade.

No, he got upset because it was true.

FTA:

There was that David Spade sketch [when Spade showed a picture of Murphy around the time of Vampire In Brooklyn and said, 'Look, children, a falling star'].

The truth hurts.

WAS true?

Partial filmography since 2000 (Because Shrek doesn't count)

Imagine That
Meet Dave
Norbit (technically a hit - but the worst POS ever made)
Dreamgirls (The only decent film on the list)
The Haunted Mansion
Daddy Day Care
I Spy
The Adventures of Pluto Nash
Showtime
Dr. Dolittle 2

He's long past "falling star" - he's a farking crater

I'd hire someone with a Velvet Jones School of Technology degree over someone with a degree from ITT, DeVry, or Phoenix.

I want to see Velvet Jones and The Ladies' Man in a ho-off.

And the PR wheel just keeps churning and churning.

Hey, Eddie has a movie coming out. It looks pretty craptastic at best. Maybe we need to stir up some decades old folklore to get folks thinking about Eddie and long-gone career....

Gimme a break!

Anyone notice how Matthew Broderick is in the trailers for Tower Heist, but is not mentioned in the voice-over?

No need. We already have Lindsay Lohan teaching us "How to be a Ho'"

DeVry grads give terrible blowjobs.

They could put the entire original SNL cast on (including the dead ones) and I still wouldn't watch it because it still wouldn't be funny. When is mainstream entertainment going to wake up and realize that top notch entertainment starts with top notch writing? You pay cheap writers, you get cheap entertainment. It is very simple, this equation.

Murphy was the only alum not to show up for the 25th anniversary spectacular. Dick move.

Because his involvement doesn't make or break it. Nobody sees an animated film because "X" star is voicing it. Although his voice performance - especially in the first one - was great, Shrek would have been as big a hit if Donkey was the voice of Dave Chappelle or Chris Rock. And it would have been as big a hit if Shrek were voiced by (the original) Chris Farley or Andy Serkis.

With very very very few exceptions, the words "terrible" and "blowjob" never go together. Never.

I can claim to be one of those exceptions. Her mouth was all teeth and she didn't understand the mechanics of a blowjob.

THIS.

I really like the cast of the current SNL, but god the writing is weak, weak, weak. They've had some nice ideas for skits, but they just don't follow through with decent jokes/punchlines...
