Your music is bad, and you should feel bad.

I always thought the harp added poignancy to Highway to Hell.

Did the article cover some sort of backlash?

I had difficulty reading it all the way through.

I'm missing the point of using exclusively one-line paragraphs.

If I had to listen to a farking harp duet before I died, I'd probably kill myself.

I think that's probably the goal of the whole harp thing anyway.

Fark that. If I'm dying play some music that gets me in a fighting spirit.

I was wondering if they make electric harps, so I did a GIS, and found this:

Because every harp player aspires to do killer whammy dives at some point in their life.

Yomiko Readman from the Anime/Manga Read or Die (both anime and manga applies.)

however, I don't know the series. I just have a tendency to research anything that seems obscure to figure out where it is from.

/ I'm sad to say there are times where I cannot figure out the origin of some images, gifs, or memes. Such as this one:

Warning, NSFW and the linked animated gif is disturbing for some individuals, including me. I really don't know why he punched her or what was the circumstances surrounding this. (new window)

I have no idea what's the story behind this one :-/

Anyone here know?

And am I Born to Die?
To Lay this body down!
And must my trembling spirit fly
Into a world unknown.

Waked by the trumpet sound,
I from my grave shall rise'
And see the Judge with glory crown'd,
And see the flaming skies!

/A Harp of a different kind.

These two are D-bags, this from the article:

"In particular, they try to slow and even a patient's breathing."

WHY? Are you trying to kill the patient? Who decides if this is a good idea or not? Are you doctors?

And this:

"We try to get the family next to the bed and use natural light. We integrate families into the moment,"

Isn't that nice of you, you insert yourself into the death of a stranger and then decide its your job to "get the family next to the bed" like it wouldn't occur to them to stand next to a person they love who is dying. These tools sound like death fetish attention whores. And really? Harps? can it get any more cliche?

FTA:
"Through improvised music at bedside, Pasquesi and Pederson ease the pain and emotional strife of death.

In particular, they try to slow and even a patient's breathing.

"A classical cue for us as to how a patient reacts to our music is their breathing pattern. Is it fast and shallow? Forty breaths a minute is too many," Pederson said."

...but zero is about right.

In the OVA, Beethoven is cloned so he could play music that would make everybody in the world kill themselves.

Also, why the fark would you bring that in here? This thread was fun until you did that.

Well, they are in that facility for the specific purpose of dying, after all. I agree with the harps being cliche though. I think I'd have to be a smartass to the end and request Freebird.

Yeah. or at least they'll be playing in the background while my life ebbs away in a hospital bed...something like that.

How morbid. *shakes it off* Gonna go enjoy life today. That scenario is gonna happen soon enough, theme song or not.
