That's impressive. I don't think I've ever been that drunk.

After reviewing his mugshot, I believe the article should have referred to him as 'local informant.'

/hard to believe he was witness to a murder

Finlayson was an eyewitness to the shooting of John "Bobby" Surles, 19, on Jan. 27, 2010, and testified at the March 2011 trial of Zachary Carr, 20, who was convicted of murder. Surles was shot on Cumberland Street and died at the hospital the following day. Carr will be sentenced in December.

I'm left wondering not only how is this relevant to the drunk 911-dialing story but if its even appropriate to be discussing at that.

I can just see some future headline about me - "Local man seen yelling at clouds. Also, he knocked up his underage girlfriend in '91 and browbeat her into getting an abortion". Heck, put that in my obituary.

And a link on that page shows just how low David Crosby has sunk.

If they were happy to oblige why'd it take more than one call?

Back in the old days...

When I was a kid, I remember 2 distinct occasions on which the cops brought my dad home because he was too drunk to drive.

James Finlayson? Surprised he wasn't calling to report an assault.

I guess the point was that people may have recognized him from other relatively recent local news because he was a key witness in a local murder case, so it was confirming that it was the same person, and not someone else with the same name.
