Having read the article now, man. I hate to feel even a little sorry for a judge. I mean, LEO's I can work up some sympathy for even when I completely disagree with them, but judges are just like failed lawyers who care even less about civil rights. But geez...sounds like the dude went to pieces. I'm all for getting him the hell and gone out of court, and some kind of penalty, and I seriously doubt any judge anywhere is hurting for money, but the pension thing seems a bit much in this case. I mean, I'm all for making sure anyone who intentionally or maliciously fails in their duties as a public servant receives no further reward, but...I dunno. It's a farkup for sure, but is it really a malicious one? As punishment it seems excessive, and as a deterrent...I'm just not real sure there's any way to deter what happened here. Between daily masturbation during a shaken baby murder trial and the DUI it really sounds more like he went off the rails.
