I know it's a promo but the "Ladies and gentlemen, Aston Kusher's Dad" crack totally sold me on this guy.

Self-congratulatory industry award shows need the wind taken out of them. Most people with half a brain and a realistic ego can larf at themselves.

Johnny Depp has my respect. Granted, that is based on Vanity Fair interviews, but still. I like the man. He seems pretty damn real while being a SUPERSTAR!11! I'll take the risk at the box office to see him - most likely money well spent. The man is a fine actor.

I'd be surprised if he didn't given how awesome he comes off in practically everything anyone ever says about him. I'd imagine that's what makes portraying him as an aggressive asshole who likes Tim Allen's act funny.

A pal of mine in London, ages ago, sent me a DVD of a then-unknown show called "The Office." I watched the first season in one sitting, laughing so hard I cried. I'd never even heard of Gervais.

Since then, that pal has sent me DVDs of Gervais' stand-up shows which are farking awesome. Just YouTube the clip where he explains homosexual animals and see if you can keep from LOL.

The guy's a genius. I'm looking forward to the new stuff.

A friend of mine was a dresser for the Ballet version of "Edward Scissorhands" and one night Johnny came to see the show. He came backstage afterward and hung out with the cast and crew for an hour or so - took pictures, signed stuff.

She was really impressed.

While I was thinking The Final Boss of the Internet could turn it into an awesome hoax, the idea did strike me as really cool. I could only imagive what the outtakes with Depp and Rockwell would be like, but I'm sure there'd be a lot of them getting into each other's character.

And a good F you to those who say he can't act. It was obvious it was an act, but believable enough that if you didn't know Gervais you'd probably think he wasn't kidding. Till the Tim Allan comment at least. Frak that guy .
