From personal experience, most Fox News junkies are happy with their Windows 98 stone-age Acer PC and first generation Blackberries. They live in a socially-isolated little conservative bubbles, surrounding themselves with like-minded dittoheads, completely happy to have their heads in the sand as time passes by.

No wonder Steve hated their fountain of "values" that fuels their pathetic lifestyles.

Fox News gave a lot of coverage to his criticism of Obama. I'll bet their fair and balanced coverage will be the same concerning these criticisms too. Right?

He was just pissed their viewers were being ripped off by cash4gold and those selling 9/11 memorabilia and not by apple.

Good thing there's ABC/NBC/CNN/MSNBC... cause it would be a real shame if the rest of the news networks tended to leaned one way or another. Saints be praised.

This. Jobs just sounds like an egomaniac and a troll who held grudges for years against anyone who slighted him in the least way.

Or maybe some conservatives are bleeding edge tech enthusiasts who didn't fall for the candy coated "shiny!" ad campaigns that both Apple and the "Progressive" collective foisted upon the planet. iDevices are a step away from the hospital touch pads in Idiocracy, bringing tech down to the tard level.

I have to say, the snippets coming out in the media from the Jobs bio increasingly make me want to read it, and I'm not one for reading biographies.

Can someone start a (reputation/personality) Death Pool on Jobs? How long will it be before everyone is saying 'Can we please stop talking about this mean-spirited douchebag already?'

I think that Apple makes products that are not great, and I disagree with the philosophies behind most of their decisions, but:

"The axis today is not liberal and conservative, the axis is constructive-destructive, and you've cast your lot with the destructive people. Fox has become an incredibly destructive force in our society. You can be better, and this is going to be your legacy if you're not careful."

This is one of the smarter quotes I've read in a while. I think that the average Apple product is an overpriced, weak piece of junk marketed to fool overpaid morons into thinking they got their money's worth, but I cannot name an Apple product that was destructive or harmful in any way, nor can I recall one that didn't do what it was designed to do. Their computers and other assorted tech might not be fantastic in my eyes, but they don't actually hold back the industry or their users.

I cannot say the same about Fox.

Getting mad at fox news is like getting mad at Andy Kaufman's wresting stunts. Rupert Murdoch saw a viable business plan for a right leaning news network and cashed in.

Also if you feel anger towards Glenn Beck then you're dumb.

People weren't voted into office on a "I'm pro-woman, anti-Kaufman" platform.

Yeah he also ripped off his partner Steve Wozniak for several thousand dollars, fathered an illegitimate daughter who he refused to acknowledge as her father, who only donated to charity once ... the list goes on. The guy was a creep. An Apple computer compared to a PC is like a tricycle compared to a Norton Black Atlas.

2011-10-26 05:46:12 PM
"Thanks, it was a wonderful evening, but you probably just cost me my job." Murdoch then recalls to Isaacson, "It ended up being true," as McLeod lost his job three months later.

Steve Jobs. What an incredible asshole.

No, no hero tag. Jobs has gotten enough post-mortem fellatio from every other source. He does not get to be a hero for pointing out the obvious.

Eh, Fox News is medium-level evil, at worst.

At this point, criticism of Fox News is pretty much a circle jerk. Everybody who aren't themselves stupid know Fox News is stupid TV for stupid people. Not really a revelation to tell us that Fox News sucks. I suspect a few people at Fox News know they suck, but hey, it's a living.

How about destroying the art form of the album, for iTunes a la carte singles mentality? Or dumbing down computers in general?

I cannot say the same about Fox.

God forbid the other half of the country has a voice. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC....it's not enough for you guys. Total obedience to one viewpoint is more dangerous than anything you accuse Fox of doing.
